In 1974 I travelled through from Calais Maritime to Roma Termini on the Roma Express. I remember walking on the Platform at Chambery with my mother, in the middle of the night, looking at the stars on a cold crisp and crystal clear night. Happy memories.

The problem with that is that when I found a driver who would issue the tickets I loaded 3 day tickets onto the card. So the date on the receipt does not match the day that the ticket is being used. A ticket purchased on the 22/12 but activated on 28/12. You don't get a ticket upon activation.

McGill's also have their own Smartcard for McGill's only tickets as do Stagecoach, so this makes 5 Smartcards in Glasgow. There are quite a few anomalies with the Tripper Smartcard. I have had the card declined on McGill's service 21 between Govan and Paisley and service 310 between The Fort...

I totally agree with this statement. Especially in relation to First in Scotland

When the ticket is loaded onto the smartcard, you get a paper receipt. I loaded 3 tickets on to my smartcard and got 3 paper printed receipts. Thomas
