It kinda does in some respects. You wonder what branding means to some companies and how important it is. Regardless of cost youd think that a private company would want their own branding/colour scheme on a unit as soon as possible..but it seems nowadays to be less and less important to companies. Therefore why dont we just go back to basic livery for all or sectorisation as in the 90s so that when trains are moved around from TOC to TOC, minimum livery alterations are needed.
I vote for the return of blue grey loool
Cheers had a look but a couple don't match up turn up and view only need one for haulage seems it was out Friday
You say this, but have there ever been enough 350s?
When the 319s arrived, they displaced 7 4 car class 321 units, which were cascaded to ScotRail. The fleet has only grown since, to provide increased cover.
I wonder if it'd be useful to have these lounge seating for the WCML services to Northampton?
Apologies, I should have checked first.Cheers had a look but a couple don't match up turn up and view only need one for haulage seems it was out Friday
Many thanks will be in London in a couple of weeks will report backApologies, I should have checked first.
I haven’t got access to CWN’s but this is what is booked for 319’s today

I went to Euston a few weeks ago - the 1711, 1734 and 1811 were all formed of 12-cars (i.e. 3 x 319s). The 1753 was cancelled when I went, but I imagine that would have been 12-car too.
A new subclass of Class 710s ordered specifically for LNWR would seem better for me than newer Class 720s.
I didn't specifically say the current Class 710 designs, I mean by a new subclass: this subclass would have a different seating layout, speed and probably capacity. Why do you think that? LNR is a medium-distance commuter and long-distance budget regional express operation. LO is a metro/S-bahn. Where's the similarity?

Oh. Well that is by what I meant anyway. That would be, er, a Class 720.

Tons of legroom, though. Probably the most comfortable EMU interior.
They are in good condition.Yep, they're in a terrible state. Here's a few pictures of one with a lot of knackered armrests and tables I sighted earlier this year.

How do you think that is in "good condition"? The first photo shows some of the armchairs being pulled all the way back, or even missing. There's also a missing mini-table on one of the seat. They are in good condition.
Compared to the material used on 377, 387 units which are newer seats but are in terrible condition always stained and a lot dustier. How do you think that is in "good condition"? Probably because 377/387s are far more used than 319s, which they run infrequently on the Abbey branch line and WCML services.Compared to the material used on 377, 387 units which are newer seats but are in terrible condition always stained and a lot dustier.
Especially the Abbey flyer which usually gets 319216 or 319219, giving St Albans the class of train it deserves.Tons of legroom, though. Probably the most comfortable EMU interior.

The standard class Chapman seating is as good as 1st class on the 700s, so we can suffer it for 16 minutes at a time. I have used the 1st class which is usually at the Watford end so generally better for connecting to the next train. Despite a significant proportion of the passengers being regulars, the 1st class seats are usuallly unoccupied, - except by staff.Surely all the Snorbanians would be crammed into the First Class section? That's the only way they would travel?
(Really Snorbens should get the one they've got that's all Standard and remove the 1st from the timetable)
Do Siemens maintain the 319s? They certainly didn't supply them!
I wonder what "less intrusive" solutions there are...... beyond doing nothing and ignoring complaints.
Yes. At Northampton
Something that doesnt require taking the train out of service for any length of time. LNWR are short of trains and we don't need anymore out of service. Perhaps the answer is to wear a coat. I ma northern. I don't notice southern cold.
Yes I quite agree. I think that if I were them, doing nothing and ignoring the complaints would be exactly what I would be doing.
