Woken by the unmistakable growl of a 37 on the up line from oakham towards manton junction today around 06:30 Anyone know any info and if its due back?
brings back memories of the paired 37 corby coil trains . Now its just the melanchoilic whine of the 66s and the hydraulic scream of the dmus

That will be the Serco test train. Not sure when or if its due back that way but if it is it won't be untill a few days once its completed its testing in Suffolk and Norfolk.

No Serco involvement any more, they lost the contract nearly a year ago for the drivers, and the crew even longer than that.

It's a transit move to Ipswich, working back to Derby on Saturday but it looks like it's working back from Doncaster, so probably not going back via Oakham.

Its booked to do a whole load of runs in East Anglia over the next couple of days before heading back to P'borough on Friday. Where it goes from there I don't know.
