No 4472 is not quite finished yet and there have been no mainline test runs yet.

There aren’t any steam tours at all booked for Friday June 17th, let alone one hauled by “Flying Scotsman”.

Compass are running a tour called "The Lakeland Scotsman" on 17/06/11, maybe that's where the confusion comes from?

The Compass tomorrow is most definately Class 47's. No where on the website does it mention Flying Scotsman.

The tour tommorrow starts at Clitheroe, picking upto Oxenholme and going to Edinburgh going up via the WCML. Then it returns via the S&C and sets down at stations starting with Clitheroe 1st before terminating at Windermere at 2350.

Where do i mention "Flying Scotsman", merely pointing out the tour
name contains the word "Scotsman", it travels on the WCML and someone may have been confused into thinking it involved 4472.

Thanks for the Info, I had a feeling that there was something else running!! Then I got the phone call from a mate saying His friends were going on the "Flying Scotsman".

That is why I posted the question, Sad thing for them it's costing them £40.00 and they say that they are getting on and retuning to "Lancaster".

I told my mate PLEASE get you'r info right!!.
