Isn't there a set limit on size and amount of luggage you can carry on a train? Might be a new cash cow for the TOCs to start charging for extra baggage.

But how can you enforce this?

I don't think you could enforce that, unless you have a special 'luggage gate' at gated stations. Even then it'd be difficult as a family of four could have a suitcase each.

I think TOCs would be entitled to request further payment if owners insisted on retaining seats for their musical instruments if they were required by other passengers.....but of course, their T&Cs would need to state this clearly.

People who, when I am standing looking over their shoulder reading their paper/book/magazine, turn over the page before I have finished reading it.

People who leave Metro/Evening Standard/Sun/Mail behind but take Telegraph/Grauniad/Times etc with them.

People who leave their property on the train 6 stations up the line & still expect it to be there when it arrives at my terminus & expect some poor sod to search 3x12-cars for their cheap imitation leather gloves/suitcase/i-pod. AND THEN DONT COLLECT THEM IF WE FIND THEM!!!!!

Cheers. Feel better now.

People who use seats for there luggage on a crowded train when there are luggage racks avalible and those who blare there music out and decide to start singing quite loud.

People who bring foul smelling, greasy food on the train and then don't offer me a chip...!

Talking of lost property; a couple of years ago, a friend left a rather bright pink suitcase on a train to Dover (getting off at Gillingham) and the message saying what coach you were travelling in came in quite handy; staff were able to find the bag immediately and send it back on the next train back!

There should be a rule that if you bring a McDs/Burger King/etc onto the train then the crew MUST be offered some of it!! Im usually hungry when someone does that!!

today I will mostly be at home decorating
I have!:) I've just had the 'sat in a bay platform, which way does the train go' regular question from a young tracksuited gentleman! Looks like another epic fail for our education system!!!

I just say "forwards".

One that used to get me was where there are 2 trains in one terminus platform and you get the "which one is going first", except once when my train split and the outer unit was going into the siding so the "first" one going was the back one, so i suppose it is a legitimate question.
