Wonder if we will be seeing the OWNED fastline grids being set aside in favour of LEASED 66s. Sound like a familiar situation?

Well it seems like everyone has got the idea that the Grids will be used on coal whether there is any truth to that is to be seen.

:(:( They're pretty much the only regular 'interesting' traction running down 'our' line! I'll miss the 56s!

A huge loss to the local scene, probably the end of my interest in local freight now. Still, it was superb whilst it lasted and I hope all the staff, particularly the enthusiastic Rugby men who worked through here, find other work quickly.

AFAIK the last working was last Tuesdays run, which ironically was fully-loaded, unless anyone knows different?

It is only the intermodals that are stopping. The coals are contiuing to run so the 66/3s will stay on them.

Well, if the rumours are true, you'll get your wish! I'm taking a stance of 'I'll believe it when I see it' though. Fingers are firmly crossed from a photography point of view...............
