I think the fail must be the VSE online and not the stage 1 assessment centre . As they would have been required to give feedback back if you went to centre and sat the tests . For them to say no feedback is given I assume it was the vse that was failed, and possibly can’t get feed back on that
Sorry wasn't following thread. Read post and assumed that opc stage 1 and 2 tests were taken

Call opc and find out if its a fail or just not to arrivas standard. You could be sitting on passes that would have you a trainee job at some tocs and most focs tomorrow without knowing otherwise. I know of people who thought they'd failed for years after sitting with arriva, only to find they had national passes which would've had them in work elsewhere.
It’s doesn’t count as a life. Only one’s done at test centres count as a life. However it might be one for ARL.

That's interesting. Would you happen to know whether the SJE and MMI tests for Arriva are at the national level or enhanced specifically for Arriva?

Anything that isn't sat at the assessment center is mainly just the TOCs individual way of additional sifting and in most cases the home sat tests will be resat with another TOC regardless of results previously like some have experienced with this application campaign.

Hey!

How was it? Was it easy to find the building? I’ve got mine soon and worry I’m going to get lost!!!
Hey, it went well I suppose. All the practice material definitely gives you a good idea of how the tests are. You do all four tests back to back with maybe a 5mins break to stretch legs. The lady conducting it was very informative and made sure everyone was fully aware with what to do before starting the test.
When you come out of Southwark station it is literally the big glass building across the road you shouldn’t miss it!

What was the Fault finding test like? Similar to the practice one that was sent out?

Yes just like the practice. I quite enjoyed that one. You have 20 scenarios of faults to find in 15mins. No one in the class got all 20. It’s more on accuracy I think.

I haven’t heard anything back yet, they do say 7/10 working days. Looking at other forums in the past some people hear back in 3/5 working days.
Fingers crossed we’re not waiting too long!

Its so hard to judge how well it went so kinda want to know asap

Just got an email from arriva saying I’ve not past the VSE. I’ve not even had a link to do the test yet let alone fail it lol

I got an email saying:

“Unfortunately, you did not meet the requirements for the specialised Arriva Rail OPC Assessment and therefore we cannot progress your application.”

Yet last month was asked to provide details so I could take the assessments! Not sure I understand what has changed that means I now don’t meet the requirements.

Hi Dazed, I got the same email last night. I’m in the exact same position as you. All I can think is that my previous pass wasn’t to their hight standard. Gutted but I’ll keep looking.

It must be a glitch I got the same email yet I’ve not sat the exam yet.

But as per normal no one from arriva is replying to my emails and the mobile is turned off for number that was in the email regarding details for the OPC

Pretty sure the emails are actual rejection emails but there seems to be a poor way of pasting what seems to be a template rejection email from the vse and sending that to those who did fail the vse plus those who haven't sat it but no longer meet various other different requirements known to them. They're weening down the amount of applications especially with some moving or already thru assessment day 1.

Have you sat and passed the OPC assessment before though? Even tho it might have been through a different TOC?
