Ahhh that's so annoying people not turning up when I'm waiting for an assessment for Manchester. Thanks for the info though! Are you taking the psychometric tests next?

Yes Psychometrics are booked in around 10 days time

'Likely to include'

Group Bourdon + Tea-OCC
Trainability/Memory Test
WAFV
ATAVT
2 Hand Coordination
SJE
MMI

Most worried about the Memory test and ATAVT - Although I might be dreadful at 2 hand coordination.

I believe my situational judgement to be OK and can prepare for an MMI

Here's hoping.. 1 step closer

I just had one (different TOC) and it was:
- Medical questionnaire (bring any medication you are on)
- Eye tests
- Hearing tests
- Drink and drug tests
- Height, weight, blood pressure
- ECG
- Discussion with doctor (included listening to heart, checking balance etc)

They may do other things depending on your medical history I guess.
That’s great, thank you for that info.

I don’t have any medical history so hopefully will just be the tests you’ve listed.

Anyone have any advice for the initial online assessments?

* Scenario/situation based assessment (no time limit)

* Timed assessment - error checking

Any advice will be much appreciated

Thanks in advance

Hi

In regards to VSE and SJT, do you have to get enhance pass mark for those?
I’m applying for the MTR trainee driver role

Or does the enhance pass mark start when you start the next process of the recruitment, or psychometric part?

Hope anyone could shed some light on this

Are these official?

Hello everyone
I applied for GTR (Thameslink) trainee driver and have passed my SJT and mini scat. I have been told I would go in for driver assessment at a centre. Anyone who has done theirs recently or who has an idea what I should be expecting and how many test it would be on that day, so I can start practicing.
Thank you
Hi, how did your driver assessment go? I hope it well! Can you give some detail as to what to expect? Thank you

Evening everyone

I applied for WMR for trainee train driver role in January, done the online tests and was sent a few emails from OPC to say I was being put in the talent pool. The last email I received end of March made it sound like there was like he quite a wait.

I have double checked my emails today as thought I haven’t heard anything in a while to find an email in my junk folder from 14th April inviting me to an assessment centre on 1st May. Unfortunately I was horrified to read on that the deadline to confirm attendance was 18th April which has well and truly passed and that if I didn’t reply by then my application would be withdrawn.

I am well and truly gutted about this as this was a role I was really keen on the role and I know they don’t come around too often. Just frustrating that this has happened due an admin error on my part,

I have replied to the email this evening to advise them of the email going into my junk folder apologising and to see if there is anyway I can attend on Friday or on a later date if there are any slots.

Has anyone had the same situation occur and if so was there any leniency on allowing to still attend at some point rather than having the application withdrawn?

I doubt you'd be able to attend tomorrow, I think OPC want you to have had the practice materials for at least a week beforehand, and you'd have them for at most, what, 24 hours?
