Your welcome, next time you do CBI, focus on also how you felt when you did that example situation. They hammered me on that
Yeah, i did do - both positive and negative (and how I turned the negative into resolutions/positives). The OPC interviewer was tired (I was last at the end of the day) and seemed to give me a really positive indication that I'd passed, and that I'd hear sooner rather than later. So, I'm surprised at the result but as they say - it is what it is.

Good, maybe they were after some keywords. Make a note on the feedback they give you. All I can say is all the best. You made it this far, not many people do and you have 13 tests under your belt, so next time its just cbi and dmi

Hello,
Can anyone please answer if in the CBI you have to answer 6 questions, similar to the Mmi.

Or does anyone know the difference between the 2

I have a CBI and vse booked in Watford in june

Much appreciated

Why do you have to do vse?

Its 5 questions instead of 6, both are essentially the same.
Thanks for the reply,
Lol I have no idea , I already have passed the psychometric tests with Swr.

After the first initial assessments I had to wait for ages and then was only asked to the M7 , which I passed.

Now got to go Watford for vse and cbi

Re: Application for the role of Trainee Train Driver with Avanti West Coast

I’m just writing with an update on your application to Avanti West Coast. I would like to thank you for your continued interest and patience with Avanti and the role of Trainee Train Driver.

As you aware from our previous correspondence with you, this recruitment process is for trainees that we are looking for over the next year and beyond. Within the rail industry the scheduling of training courses is constantly changing and as such, we are not looking to schedule a training course for your chosen depot for at least 6 months.

I understand that this may be disappointing news for you, however your application and interest is still very important for us and as such we will continue with your application as soon as we’re able to. We ask that you bear with us and we will continue to keep you informed regularly as to the status of your application and when we may be able to continue.

Thank you for your time and continued interest with Avanti West Coast and we will be back in touch with you within the next 12 weeks to provide you with another update.

Thank you! Anyone have an idea how long the wait will be
They’ve not finished the ones from the last recruitment campaign yet. There’s still people waiting since December for their DMI, so it will be any time after they’ve had theirs.

Why would that be? Just curious
Purely going on what several posters above have posted about getting a sorry letter from Avanti and that they were all Liverpool applicants. Complete speculation but seems strange to suddenly put all the Liverpool candidates on hold?? Maybe I'm putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5?

Plenty have been for the CBIs for Liverpool. A couple off here that I’ve seen and 5 that I know personally.
So I can imagine there are a lot of people who are at the psychometric and beyond stages of this recruitment drive for Liverpool.

Have to say I've never seen such a badly handled recruitment process. Had a few careers in my lifetime but never experienced anything like this, and reading a few older threads it looks like this is standard?

I'm stage 2 so one of the lucky ones. But what we read on here, people waiting to know on the original online questionnaire, not good. Will of course continue if I pass the next round, but not sure I'd go for my 2nd chance in 6 months, if anyone's recruiting at that time.
