Well surely you can exit the gates at leeds to use facilities (ie you fancy a big mac) then just go to your meeting then come back and buy a single leeds blackburn on your return to the station... its breaking the rules but its not like your fare evading.... there actually getting more money out of you... youve still used the reservation so not like youve wasted that either. As there is no reservation between leeds and blackburn.

Northern probably couldn't care less if you catch a later train, their cut of the fare wont change. Northern aren't the ones yield-managing. I have never been asked for the other train's reservation coupon on a Northern service.
