Hi all. Another (big) one for you.
Was looking at tickets from Bristol Temple Meads (BRI) - Walton-On-The-Naze (WON), going on the 25th, returning the 28th Nov. This will be routed via London Liverpool St. (LST) & London Paddington (PAD). However, there will be a stop off in London on the 28th for the day (late train back).
The best I've found is this (using YP Railcard):
15:30 BRI - WON via LST at 18:12 - Advance Single = £14.50
09:00 WON - BRI via PAD at 11:30 - Advance Single = £11.20
22:25 PAD - BRI - Advance Single = £6.55
Total = £32.25
This seems to work out better than getting the BRI - PAD - BRI Advance Singles & LST - WON - LST Off-Peak Returns separately (working out at about £40). And it seems to cover the transfer from PAD - LST (saving a couple of £ on the Oyster).
A bit more info:
On the Monday we will have YP Z1-6 Railcards as well (as we'll be travelling around London), if this helps in anyway.
If anyone can work this out with a PRIV (from London only), as well as a YP Railcard, I'd be grateful.
The routing is the best I've found but am happy for cheaper & longer.
Thanks again in advance.
