Who else buys these and what's your current favourite and production company?

I might buy some those Video125 DVD's but at £20 its too much for me.
good point, thats why I only buy complete ones![]()
I own a number of Video 125 productions. Have taken advantage of the fact that they've reduced the prices of a number of their older titles lately. Some of the older titles, such as Chiltern Take Two and 1066DC are worth it just to see how much things have changed within the last 20 years!
The Chiltern Take Two first goes Paddington-Northholt Junction (onboard a Class 50) and then a Class 115 goes Marylebone-Banbury. The routes are shown in full (as far as I'm aware), and the DVD has a total running time of around 90 minutes.
The 1066DC goes Hastings-CharingX, and the only edited sections to my knowledge are some of the longer tunnels.
My favourite is Locomaster Profiles - "North Star South West", where 47840 runs the last long distance Virgin loco hauled service from Penzance to Birmingham NS. it is a fabulous journey including the infamous Dawlish sea wall.
I've got a feeling one of the production companies actually has produced a 'cab ride' of the DLR... and it costs more than a Travelcard![]()
Many thanks for this thread, I don't have any cab-ride DVD's simply because I'd never thought of them existing. Now I know, I'll certainly be having a look so thanks again!![]()
Yep, there's masses of shelves of them in good railway bookshops, and tons in Ian Allan (in Manc they are at the back on the bottom floor)
Cheers Matt. I am gonna have to take a trip down to Piccadilly and have a look there. I've only ever been to M**GAN (other discount computer sellers may well exist) and didn't even know that Ian Allan were there!! I've usually entered and left Piccadilly Station via the (ahem) Metrolink.

I'd be interested in these products if only they were uninterrupted real time trips of the complete route in question rather than the edited versions on the market.

I dont know about others, but the dvds from 225studios are of complete routes and are uninterrupted as they are used primarily for route learning purposes. They are quite expensive though.
