Are these hauling passenger trains yet, or are they still 67's? Are 68's going to be in charge of all LHS on Chiltern or will some 67's remain?
It is rumoured that a 68 will first come onto the Banbury set to start off and then be fully on the services by March.
heard this http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O52009/2014/12/01/advanced go through Gerrards Cross at around 16:10. It was definatley light engined and definatley not a 67. Was it a 68?
I believe 68 014 was working a charter today; could have been that one?
So, no sign of a 68 today - the slam door set had a 67 on the front today (67017 by the look of it).Found this on facebook though!
Chiltern Railways is planning to use its first Class 68 on a passenger train this coming Wednesday. The plan is the slam door set will run as booked with 67 on Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday evening it will return to Wembley and the 67 should swap with a 68 (presumably 68011) which will then run ECS to Banbury as a test run. On Wednesday morning the 68 should cover the usual slam door diagram with the 68 for the rest of the week. A 68 is also due to run to Birmingham or Stourbridge and return for driver training; dependant on Tuesday's test run with the set going ok. This is subject to the usual disclaimers and could change....!!!
Thanks to Railways Illustrated for the info

There were tons of disappointed looking people with cameras out on lots of platforms today. From what I hear a 68 will be on the front of the slam door set very soon, maybe even tomorrow.
It was 67023
