Well, not quite that few - they’re a third complete (10 units).

Even then not a single one is in LNR livery (even though 106 was vinyled then had it taken off for some reason)

True, I believe it is still being finalised but am happy to be corrected.
The only difference I noticed is the addition of advertisements on the /3s and the removal of “operated by West Midlands Trains”

Are only the 350/1 getting their grab poles replaced?
As 350401 had them untouched!

Surprised to see them bother with the /1 as yellow is completely generic, SWR didn't see the need!

The mark 4s will probably join the mark 1s in having their poles repainted eventually.

SWR was in a different situation. repainting their poles in blue wasn’t acceptable as it didnt meet the PRM regs.

LNR green however does meet the regs. Dont see why they wouldn’t add the green when they get around to the /3s and /4s

How come SWR blue poles wouldn't meet the PRM regs when GA pale grey poles against a pale grey background do?

PRM regs state that poles must sufficiently contrast with the immediate adjacent surfaces. It doesn't matter what colour they are.

Same issue as northern 195 and 331s.

probably applies mainly to existing trains maybe rather than new ones?

At least the 350/1s have got a suitable colour as the green looks a lot better than the silverlink yellow.

Plus by the doors, the 350/1s have a pale grey pole which works as it contrasts against the dark blue panels.

I dont why their is differences in compliance betweens TOCs but as far as LNR and the 350/1s are concerned. They got it spot on in terms of refurbishment.

If the grab poles are on legacy GA stock (i.e. 321s, 317s) then they've probably got derogation.

350121 has had internal refurb, but is absolutely disgraceful on the outside.

Look forward to having a refurbished set next time I travel Stockport to London the slow but cheap route via Crewe or Stoke possibly in the autumn.
