Would someone be able to say which services will be operated by 365s? I know some are operated by 387s, but this is not shown on Real Time Trains.

Many Thanks.

Hi,
Last Sunday one pair of 365s was observed working 0826 Alexandra Palace - Peterborough and then worked 0946 Peterborough - Kings Cross, 1113 Kings Cross - Peterborough and 1245 Peterborough - Kings Cross and presumably cycled every 3 hours all day. The second pair worked the 1013 Kings Cross - Peterborough, 1145 Peterborough - Kings Cross, 1313 Kings Cross - Peterborough and 1445 Peterborough - Kings Cross and again presumably on a 3 hour cycle for the rest of the day. Third set of services was worked by 387s.
This Sunday it appears the timetable is similar although the 0826 Alexandra Palace is starting at New Barnet. Obviously the diagrams may be different but the above may help.

I was thinking of making a trip for these too so if anyone can confirm it will be 365s this Sunday that would be appreciated.

There will be two pairs of 365s running back and forth from Peterborough/London Kings Cross, with one 387 too. (This applies for 11th/18th and the 25th, which I’m not entirely sure about.)

Due to morning works, early Peterborough trains will start from New Barnet on the 11th. (0746/0821)

The 0746 is likely going to be a 700, which will then form the 0915 semi-fast to London Kings Cross (going to Hornsey Depot afterwards.)

Seeing how the 0826 Alexandra Palace to Peterborough was a 365 last sunday, I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be the same case for the 0821. (Forming the 0945 from Peterborough to Kings Cross)

0745 to London Kings Cross from Peterborough was 387 operated. (Last Sunday)

0845 to London Kings Cross from Peterborough was 365 operated. (Last Sunday)

Apologies for this being long-winded but I hope this helps. I can happily confirm there will be 365s operating this Sunday.

If it’s anything like the previous weekend, 2x365 will work empty from Peterborough Nene CS to Hornsey on the Saturday, in order to get the 365s in the right place to start from Hornsey on the Sunday.

Are there particular units that GN seem to favour to be used these days? I'm particularly interested in 365516 and 365534 as my last 2 for haulage, and am thinking about heading out on Sunday. Have either of these been in use recently?

516 has been de-branded and is stored at nene and hasn't been used or moved in a little bit.

534 is one of the units that are still in use and stabled at nene sidings over night. They tend to swap what pair of 365 they use day to day (I assume to ballance miles)
534 is out today on the way to KGX on 1P05

Can't guarantee numbers but it should return to pbo tonight on 1p52 out of the cross

1P52 tonight should indeed be 365534 with 365502

There are very few GN services running anywhere on the weekend of 25/4, as it is the changeover weekend for the Kings Cross works. This page is being updated with info:

I'd be interested to know please whether the 10:45 PBO-SNO and 19:06 SNO-PBO on Sunday 25th are likely to be Cl365.

Would these diagrams still be current for tomorrow? Thanks - might be my last chance to get one.

I have a feeling it's not going to be the same as previous Sunday, but rather similar to the diagrams from the 4th of April. I'll be out tomorrow morning to find out, so I can let you know in advance.

If the 1P23 0945 Peterborough to London Kings Cross is a 365, does that mean it would work the following diagrams previous to this:

3C25 0619 Hornsey E.M.U.D. to Royston
2C25 0720 Royston to Finsbury Park
1P14 0823 Finsbury Park to Peterborough

Yes that is correct, I only looked at Kings X initially

Great, thank you :)

It would make sense to see a 365 on that 0720 Royston service, due to rail replacement between Royston and Cambridge tomorrow. (The 0720 on Sunday usually starts from Cambridge, with an ECS stock from Cambridge sidings)

Note that on weekdays they only work the 06:36 Peterborough to Kings Cross and 18:05 return.

Happily I travelled on both these services between Stevenage and Kings Cross and return yesterday :D Enthusiasts have cottoned on to their demise and are starting to be out in force with cameras. There were 4 in the front carriage last night and someone taking a video of the train departing Kings Cross.

On Thursday (if I recall correctly) two 365 pairs were working both AM peak services to Kings Cross; seemed a little unusual, but maybe there’s a reason behind it all.

But yeah the 18:05 is the one I’ll be taking for the next couple of fridays to come (not the next one though!)

(Forget the first quote box, btw)

Are there going to be any 365s working between St Neots and Peterborough on the 25th of April?

The 23rd, 24th and 25th are all 700 workings, no 365s from pbo.
Monday 26th seems to be normal expected working (8 car 365 and 8 car 387)

Though the carriage working notice for the weekend is only a draft at the moment. Final version is out on Wednesday/Thursday
