I'm not very au fait with the older EMUs, but do the refurb 442 retain the 4 step power control (Shunt, Series, Parallel and Weak Field), and the two different types of braking sysyem?
With about 3 weeks to go until the new timetable, does any have confirmed diagrams for 442 workings? I know that RF user Hamworthy goods provided a good list a few months back, just wanted to see what was going to happen on 19/5? Thanks.
As there are no available sets there will be no long term diagrams in May. Aslef have refused to accept any long term diagrams with 442 work. They will instead, when eventually in service be short term plan diagrams until December.
I thought they were only carrying pax on the direct? The 2105 Waterloo - Poole will 100% be a 442, the rest I’m not sure on yet.

Because this is now the third set of LTP diagrams with 442s in, without one ever being in service. Putting 442 work in diagrams has led to quite a few changes to diagrams because of the limited number of crews signing them.Any particular reason why ASLEF have refused LTP diagrams?
Which were originally going to be ECSThey have workings on the mainline to get them to/from Bournemouth depot for maintenance.

Many thanks to everyone. As I've been hearing that 3 or 4 10 car formations could be ready for 19/5, then this would make sense.
I'll believe this when I see it.

Is the tour via Havant to keep the (un)comfy seats at the London end?
Also, does 1G22 and 1G57 have an amended calling pattern come the May timetable change?
1G22 is Ports & S’sea, Fratton, Havant, Petersfield, Haslemere, Godalming, Guildford then Waterloo.
1G57 is Guildford, Godalming, Haslemere then ALL stations to Ports & S’sea from 20 May.
