There’s a path from Worksop back to Gillingham tomorrow. Some 465s returning?

This will be interesting to see in terms of what this train will be, if it runs. Among finer details of note compared to the most recent working to Worksop, there are less location rows on the Gillingham-bound journey, and no rows indicating stops for staff reasons (there'll inevitably be a driver change or two somewhere). My first thought was this was just the loco returning for another working, but the "trailing 600 tonnes" in the details would disprove that.

2rd is correct just that I was confused over the H&S standards part. The entire sidings needs a rebuild tbh.

Sidcup and Beckenham are interesting. Operationally leaving them empty is the best option. Using them for berthing just adds too many additional problems.

Could they not reopen the Southwark Sidings if more sidings are needed? I remember London Reconnections did an article about it a few years ago

All the remaining 465/2s have been withdrawn from service. I noted 235 at slade green Friday night and 243/249 working together.

didn’t see any /2s in service Saturday. So must’ve happened for the weekend…

So if I've counted correctly, 18x 465s and 6x 466s are in storage, which is roughly equal to 17x 707s. If the plan is to store more to create space for all 30x 707s there's a long way to go still, and doesn't explain why 2x 465s came back.

2 4650. Have returned because they are being used to send for the momment two x 4652 units into storage quicker.
Because the 4650 are in a better condition than the 4652 ones.
Ie 4652 have rotten frames and are waterlogged plus the gec components are hard to get and very expensive to repair or replace.
Also still plenty off supplies for the class 4650. Though.
Plus southeastern are short off a few units at the momment.
However on the class 465 Facebook appreciation pages. It does mention it on there as well.

According to sources ive read 7 class 365's have been sent for scrap

As well as this the class 465's are being sent for storage, how many 465's are remaining in service? (Especially the /2's)

Note to mods - can this thread be copied or transferred to the Rolling Stock section as that seems a more suitable place to track storage movements.

I think about 17 units now gone? Mostly the /2s and some 466s. The 465/0 that went is now back.

Do we know if exactly the same amount of carriages are going compared to 707s arriving? That's be 150 in total.

I'm guessing some of the /2s will be scrapped soon given reported condition

According to my notes -
465017 and 465019 went to Worksop on 24th June
465010 went to Worksop on 28th June
465004 wnet to Worksop on 5th July

Only 465010 and 465019 have returned to Kent with 465004 and 465017 still at Worksop or did I miss another return journey?

I have exactly the same notes.

465004 and 465017 haven’t returned.

assuming 235/237 get taken away tomorrow. That’ll be 82 coaches in storage.
