On the current programme of works, only 466043 is left to be done.
It was to distinguish previous overhauls, where they were hauled all the way to Doncaster for the work to be carried out. One did go up behind 66783 not too long ago - must have been 466043.Use of italics is interesting there.
Any news on how they plan to deal with reductions in capacity from Jan?
I can't seem to find the December timetables for SE, which while public timetables detail service times only, their release will also presumably mean the rolling stock allocations are also decided.Ah I wondered if it was a hint they may plan other work now given no word on how they will solve problem of capacity decreases.
Thank you for the updates, now all that's left is for SE to explain how things will pan out from mid-December.All the overhauls are done; 66731 hauled 466043 back from Ilford to Tonbridge (and thence Slade Green) last night.
Makes sense in all, but if @ComUtoR 's words on the Bromley North branch are anything to go by they will need to sort the issues out there fast to get 465s working it again. So it now looks like the following will occur:
Medway Valley 3x 375/3
Sheerness 2x 375/3
Bromley North 1 x 465
Bromley North 1 x 465

I'd be interested to know what they have done to resolve the issues.
There is a very quick way of resolving it but I certainly haven't heard anything as of today (12/11/19)
God knows. Why are they not doing modifications so a 466 can run on its own?
Very little point in doing so. Networkers are due to be replaced in the next SE franchise, and SE hadn't planned for the most recent delay to the franchise award. Why are they not doing modifications so a 466 can run on its own?
I know you can't disclose the issue here but if it is a quick fix, could a weekend engineering work closure not resolve it (and of course Bromley North is closed Sundays anyway)? There is a very quick way of resolving it but I certainly haven't heard anything as of today (12/11/19)

Even if the franchise had been awarded as expected, there would still have been a delay before the new trains arrived of 2 or 3 years
Thinking about the Medway valley line more where has that 3rd 375 been operating the last 1.5 years, considering for many years 3x375s was normal? So it now looks like the following will occur:

Sheerness 2x 375/3

Been covering for a shortage of 4 cars by working 2W95 0708 Folkestone Central to London Cannon Street as a 10 car vice 11. A few were taken out of service after various tree related incidents.Thinking about the Medway valley line more where has that 3rd 375 been operating the last 1.5 years, considering for many years 3x375s was normal?
Sounds fair. The use of a 466 on the MDW shuttle (with PDW peak extensions) did kind of feel like a more effective use of stock for that service which from personal experience has been suitable (apart from maybe some disabled passengers and bicycle users having less space), given it doesn't run for more than half an hour on each single journey. The Tonbridge ones though are better as 375/3s.Been covering for a shortage of 4 cars by working 2W95 0708 Folkestone Central to London Cannon Street as a 10 car vice 11. That would explain why I saw a 466(030 I think) doing a Tonbridge working while travelling on the MDW shuttle (466015) as part of a journey to Stratford earlier today. I presume the peak 6 car Networkers are unaffected on the Sheerness branch.375/3s have taken over operation on the Sheerness Branch from today because of Persistent power supply issues affecting 2 cars running on there. The Medway Valley will be covered by 466s until further notice. (Well only for a month max).
The 0700 was a 465+466 combo as normal so far this weekI presume the peak 6 car Networkers are unaffected on the Sheerness branch.
Makes a lot of sense considering a 5 minute journey isn't going to cause great concern to anyone. I imagine SE now won't address the safety issue unless they want to resume engineering work services on odd Sundays. The Bromley North Branch will now stay 2 466. A derogation has been granted.
I don't know what workings exactly are involved but tracking RTT the formation for that train starts at Gillingham depot, so any of the Chatham mainline stoppers or Sidcup line services are the most likely to be affected that also see their stock come from there.Surely someone knows what Metro diagrams lose the 465s that are moving to cover the 375s on Sole Street to Blackfriars?
