37510+37611 with 6378, 6379,710375 on 5Q57 09:15 OLD DALBY to DERBY LIT 06/11/21
I have been told that 710374 made the same trip the previous day.

Are the last 4 (270, 374, 375 & 379) actually coming to their home at long last maybe ?.

Programme update
Class 710 trains
A further six Class 710 trains will be delivered later in 2021. These will be used on the Barking Riverside Extension as operational spares and provide additional capacity to meet forecasted growth on the London Overground network.

Got about 3 weeks to deliver them if coming in 2021

I wonder if they will be extra 5 coach units for the Watford DC line to allow the 710/2s to be transferred to the Goblin route. Or is that too sensible seeing how crowded the 4 coach units get on Watford services?

----------------

I noticed on Sunday that there was at least 3 sets of a AC only unit attached with a dual voltage unit on the services out of Liverpool Street, first time I've seen a mixed pair [previously I had only seen pairs of 1s & pairs of 2s operating out of Liverpool Street]

The original plan was 4-car 710s for both the Watford DC (increased to every 15 minutes) and Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside with the 5-car 710s for the North London Line, releasing 378s to the East London Line. 18 4-car 710s (256-273) is enough to fully satisfy the need for units on the Watford DC and Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside routes.

At one point, there was the confusion about 270 (or 131) as the extra unit for Romford to Upminster and 124 is being repaired after the Enfield Town bufferstop incident so the 5-car units on the Watford DC are just creating spares for the West Anglia routes.

I saw 710 104 in service at Bethnal Green on Monday, so it has completed the repairs.

Saw 710263 and 710125 paired together and if you like London Buses in North London then having a 125 & 263 together is not uncommon!

Great wordplay . I knew the 710/1's and 2's would couple up one day

Just for the record 710256 persists in being parked on the main line side of Willesden Depot. That was the last delivery after a long pause. The other four outstanding 710s are 270, 374, 375 & 379. They do not seem to be needed yet.

I seem to recall the outstanding units are required to indirectly cover improved capacity on the East London Line (ELL). Some dual voltage 378s will be sent to the ELL from the North London Line (NLL). Then the outstanding 710s (presumably 5-car 374-379) will cover for the departure of 378s to the ELL from the NLL. I vaguely recall there are some outstanding infrastructure works on the ELL to enable the extra services.

Probably a bit late but yes it is (working the 22;00 London Euston to Watford Junction service)
Noooo that’s worse than not knowing at all, knowing when I can’t get it  Thanks anyway, hopefully tomorrow. I’ve been on the 720s today
Looks like that means a Watford Junction finish tonight so should be obvious which one it then works in the morning - platform matching suggests 0615 from Watford Junction and 0715 from Euston then every two hours at each end but it may not be that it goes out on that one in practice.

Thank you for that, it will help a lot if I go out tomorrow

ELL enhancements (and therefore 710/3 stuff) is all tied up in the Dft-TfL funding arguments so no sign of much progress with the latest eight week deal. 256 and 270 are on paper the Riverside units, 256 is effectively replacing 124 currently.
