That is my understanding - working with the 710/1s.

As in NOT the 710/2s usual routes Euston/Watford or GospelOak-Barking(-Riverside).
Not even North London Line (not meant to be the 710/2s usual route which is eventually meant for the 710/3s but 710/2s do appear there).
There's at least two 710/2s working every day on the Liverpool street diagrams; they do seem to get rotated regularly - are we saying that 710 270 will be more or less permanently on this side rather than loose in the fleet?

Should make it easier to track down, if so... :)

Presumably light class 37 engine(s) Derby RTC to Iford then a drag of 710374 to Willesden.

I am pretty sure that 710374 is the only one left to get to Willesden. I note it has to be dragged. So presumably it was "finished" by Ilford but Willesden then do a bit more - commission it ?. I am puzzled as I write this because I would have thought Ilford could treat a 710/3 as one of their own as they have 710/1s !.

It looks as though the train ran and arrived at Ilford 0830 this morning according to RTT. Hopefully another one nearer to being finished off/commissioned and put into service.

I asked and the answer is indeed 710374 going from Ilford to Willesden this late morning.
37510 37884 710374
So the last class 710 ie 710374 is only months away from service (fingers crossed).

Good news about 710374, but did 710270 see the light of day today or is it still hiding ?
Not seen any reports recently. Maybe 710270 is hiding again on (up & down) the WCML !. But its place must be being taken (so to speak) by 710374 so expect to see it in action - I had read North London Line.

710270 was in its usual position on Willesden today (5-Feb). The second part of the gen posted last week was that it would transfer to Ilford to take up workings in West Anglia.

By coincidence 5L28 stock transfer from Willesden to Ilford at 19.47 tonight was changed from a "Q" path (runs as required) to a definitely running train fairly early on today.
So 270 could possibly be out tomorrow in West Anglia.

We'll see......

Err no, 258/264, LO moves for accepted units. No waste on third parties needed once handed from TfL.

Both the "newest" (710270 and 710374) are reported at Willesden today (Tuesday 06/02/2024) by @Wolves.

But :-

Above was on/before 11:30.
710270 was still at the back of Willesden TMD by the DC lines at 1700 today (Wed 07/02). No sign of 710374 as the depot doors were closed.

Fantastic!
Many thanks Pep and co

Success!
It was partly obscured by some 378's but nevertheless it was good enough for Me.
Thanks Again
If I could be so bold as to ask if you (or any other members out there) know where 710374 is today? Assuming at WN somewhere but is it visible from DC Lines at rear?
Once again TIA

On Wednesday 710 374 was reported as being inside the shed.

If it's not visible on the DC side, then it could be worth going up to the footbridge and looking in the shed if the north doors are open although the lack of a front end number will hamper identification, or getting a 350 up from Harrow and Wealdstone and checking what's parked on the AC side of the depot.

Thanks
Also I have got numbers in the shed by walking over the road bridge immediately to the South of Willesden depot. From Willesden Juncton station take the long footpath that leads between the North London line and the adjacent freight lines, turn right (at the top of the steps) wen you reach the road and then keep right. Use the station exit that is off the Southern footbridge and faces the NLL.

Yesterday 13/02/24 710270 was reported as outsite Willesden depot at about 0700 but nowhere to be seen when I passed at 1300 ! However by 1500 it had re-appeared at the London end of the depot and was duly "copped". I suspect it has sessions inside the shed hence it's fequent disapearance. Also at 1500 the North end doors were open on the shed road nearest the AC mainline and a 710 could clearly be seen and photographed with it's lights on - presumably this was 710374 but I couldn't be sure.

710375 currently working 2C23 11:04 Watford to Euston.

Edit at 14:15
710270 now alongside the shed adjacent to Wcml at Willesden, wasn’t there 2 hours ago.

I was surprised to see 710374 sitting in Platform 6 at Rugby yesterday evening. According to RTT it had done a 5Q33 from Euston, and was about to return after a short wait at Rugby, on a 5Q34 to Willesden. What would the purpose of this have been?
