Until the 730/2s come into play around December. There’s enough 730/0s to allow the Cross City, Walsall-Birmingham-Wolverhampton and the Chase Line to go over to 730/0 operation alongside the runs on Euston-Tring/MKC.
When the 5 car 730s enter service, will all of the 3 car 730s go straight away, or will they be used along side the 730/2s for a while, until there are enough 5 car units to replace them?

When the 730/0s leave the LNR local services, what WMR services are they planned to be used on?

It'd be stupid for them to just send all of the 3 cars over straight away, I don't think they're planned to be used on any other WMR services, considering there's enough for every planned service anyway, it would enable the cross city to go up to 6tph though, if it ever happens, another unit will likely be used on the new Walsall-Wolverhampton service via Willenhall.

How many units are required for 6tph Cross-City with all 6 car?

As I understand it, 6tph on the Cross City Line is not possible at Kings Norton with 2tph on the Camp Hill Line unless the unused platforms are brought back into use. The unused platforms are used by freight trains and passenger trains which do not stop at Kings Norton.

WMR and Andy Street have expressed aspirations to get this sorted out faster, exactly how, I don't know, though I'd imagine it is possible. Kings Norton is meant to receive a remodeling as part of Midlands Rail Hub, though that's some time away!

Looking at Part Time Spotter, I can see the allocation for 1st March.
Is it possible to see allocation for previous days on Part Time Spotter - and if so how?
Many thanks

350s on Chase, London Birmingham, and St Albans Abbey.
Everything else electric will be 730.
London - Birmingham and St Albans are 350 only. Trent Valley is a 350/730 mix (IIRC, more 730s on the weekends), London-MKC/Tring is pure 730s.

Most Liverpools will be 730s though I wouldn't be suprised if a 350 pops up occasionally.

Will Stafford - Crewe still be 350s?

The correct plans for utilisation have been posted previously, including Rugeley - Intl being 730/0, and Potteries being 350.

I reckon WMR's Twitter have gotten it wrong, it certainly wouldn't be the first time. The latest issue of Modern Railways states that the remainder of the rollout will begin on Rugeley - Intl and Walsall - Wolves after the Cross City. Their superior acceleration when compared to a 350 should hopefully mean a slight reduction in journey times on this route. Of course, you seem to be in the know.
