Isn't there now a Saturday 730 diagram on the Tring/MK services since the timetable changed? Will there be any weekend Euston-Tring/MK services that will go over to 730s in the next few weeks? When the 5 car units are introduced, I hope they will run as 10 car units. A 5 car 730 has no more capacity than an 8 car 350/2, but at least there will be no more 4 car 350 services.
It was posted as being introduced from this Saturday.Isn't there now a Saturday 730 diagram on the Tring/MK services since the timetable changed?
Or am I simply misremembering something
I would imagine that Class 730/2 introduction on Crewe-Euston and Birmingham-Liverpool will be more of a priority than ten cars on Euston-Tring.Will there be any weekend Euston-Tring/MK services that will go over to 730s in the next few weeks? In the peak Euston-Tring gets very crowded.I would imagine that Class 730/2 introduction on Crewe-Euston and Birmingham-Liverpool will be more of a priority than ten cars on Euston-Tring.

I am sure I remember reading exactly this conversation a few months ago...I would imagine that Class 730/2 introduction on Crewe-Euston and Birmingham-Liverpool will be more of a priority than ten cars on Euston-Tring.
How does there seem to be a shortage of 350s on that service ive not seen a 8 car for months, didn't they gain a few from tpeI am sure I remember reading exactly this conversation a few months ago...
People in the SE need to remember that the Birmingham-Liverpools are almost all just 4-car trains (half-hourly) and are packed - and they ran well-loaded when they were hourly 8-cars too. More stock is desperately needed.
They increased the frequency of the Liverpool services on weekdays during peak time, alongside all day on Saturdays. As a result, the previous 1tph 8 car service went down to 2tph 4 car, increasing the frequency, but keeping capacity the same. The 10 350s from TPE helped with the Chase Line electrification, alongside removing 323s from Walsall-Wolverhampton runs. Roughly 76/87 350s are needed in service each day, so there are few spare. Things will improve when 730 rollout is complete. How does there seem to be a shortage of 350s on that service ive not seen a 8 car for months, didn't they gain a few from tpe
Yes Birmingham to Liverpool is still only half hourly in peaks and hourly otherwise. Its stress points are Birmingham to Stafford and north of Crewe.I am sure I remember reading exactly this conversation a few months ago...

4-car trains on the Euston lines are considerably worse however.Yes Birmingham to Liverpool is still only half hourly in peaks and hourly otherwise. Its stress points are Birmingham to Stafford and north of Crewe.
Any idea what they are working? I managed a ride on 730013/016 earlier (thanks to @craig87034 for the info in an earlier post).730010 & 002 have just turned up at Euston.
I think trains are getting too full all over the UK. I am seeing it off peak Croydon to/from Victoria !. Mainly down to the amount of stock withdrawn on Southern perhaps BUT I have a feeling that the problem with the 730s is more a lack of trained staff than lack of accepted units ?. In which case the sensible thing to do is make what does run as long as possible.I am sure I remember reading exactly this conversation a few months ago...

Came into platform 8 ( out of service) stayed about 10 minutes and left.Any idea what they are working? I managed a ride on 730013/016 earlier (thanks to @craig87034 for the info in an earlier post).
December. 1st 5 car unit training for managers/coaches at the end of the monthAnd is there an expected date for the above?
Correct. Double sets will be for Crewe-Euston services, essentially 12 car 350 in length/capacity. Single sets, likely mixed between 350 and 730 for the Birmingham-Liverpool.For Birmingham to/from Liverpool it would be nice if the 730s were run in pairs on every other service as soon as drivers are available leaving the alternate service as pairs of 350s. But I suppose it will actually be a single 730/2 (ie 5car) if those are the plan (I have lost track) because those are as long as 1.5 350s (6 coaches) !.
Why December when 5 cars have been testing for many many months?December. 1st 5 car unit training for managers/coaches at the end of the month

Testing not training. Why December when 5 cars have been testing for many many months?
Yes but what does it take so long for training when they have been training for may months???Testing not training.
No 5 car units have officially been handed over to WMT for use yet. They may enter service sooner on STPs but I believe they are allowing for some teething troubles once train crew get hold of them.Yes but what does it take so long for training when they have been training for may months???
I believe 2 diagrams on the cross city on Sundays. However unsure on the services.Any Sunday diagrams yet?
