Class 730 LNR & WMR Delivery/test Updates

1723, 1753, 1823, 1853 (all Bromsgrove) and 1643, 1715 (Redditch) departures south from New Street are reliably class 730s. Bromsgrove is a 3hr diagram cycle, Redditch is 2.5hrs; you can work out all the other services from that. 6 diagrams, all should be pairs so 12 units.

The other 5 cross city diagrams (2 Bromsgrove, 3 Redditch) are (should be) class 323s. Typically two of these (1 of each route) will be a pair, the other 3 will be single (so 7 units total)

I'm not convinced there are 5 323 diagrams, unless a 323 was substituted for a failed 730.
There have been occasions when a 323 has been replaced with another 323 on the same diagram.

The four 323 diagrams are 3 Redditch and 1 Bromsgrove.

That is correct. But 2 of the Redditch ones are only x1 3 car 323, on those services.
Predominantly a 323 is quite often replaced by a 323, like on Wednesday 04th July 2024, when 323211, replaced 323216 on a Redditch to Four Oaks.
However very much relevant to this thread, don't forget on Tuesday 03rd July 2024, 323211 failed at Birmingham New street on the First Redditch to Four Oaks and 730009 worked vice 3 car 323 on that diagram. But when out on Wednesday 04th July 2024, On Redditch to Four Oaks 730009 failed and 323221, returning to its booked diagrams 323, took over.

Of those in service today, I've been on all except 014. I'm quite impressed by that! Of those at Soho/on test, I've only had 012/019.
Presumably the rest of the fleet is in storage, or at Bletchley?

Mine is lazy desk spotting while at work so some are still showing no locations, there's some at Wembley I believe, about 10 down on London work, 2 are at Crewe, 1 is at Rugby, 1 is still at Old Dalby. Yes a couple at Bletchley but they do seem to be being used and swapped about between London and Birmingham for the time being!

So I suggest your seven unknown location ones (that is excluding 043) are at Derby or more likely off site (at Worksop or Doncaster ?)

So just to double-check, does that count as them going to Northern Rail or not?
Any information would be appreciated.

A bloke a friend knows works for WM trains. He says there is not yet an end date for the running of 323's on the Crosscity line, and the unit at Wolverton will transfer to Soho soon. Presumably 4 323 diagrams will continue this week and next week too.

If I recall correctly it was reported on WNXX that there are none left at Gascoigne Wood now, 028 was the last one there and that got dragged to Belmont Yard last week.
