Does anyone know if it will be taken to Old Dalby for testing? Thanks

Not necessarily as bad as it looks, 93 with ac drive will have more control. I know 66 has more adhesive weight so ultimately may be less prone to wheelslip causing a significant loss of speed.
And one of thirty ??
Appears confirmed onwards movement by rail to Leicestershire.
Where in Leicestershire?

So Old Dalby after all?Where in Leicestershire?
By the look of the angle of the bogies in that photo, it‘ll be good for hump shunting!

Worksop for a short period then moving to Dalby where it will be based for about 2-3 weeks, then onto Leicester.Has it been confirmed as to where this will end up?
it is sat at Strensham Services M5 for the nightOn way back from Devon this afternoon, passed it doing about 40mph on the M5 at Gloucester Services about 16.30ish. We nipped into the services for half hour to browse round the farm shop, but didn't manage to catch it up again.
Any idea what time it's leaving in the morning?it is sat at Strensham Services M5 for the night

Haven't they got that big new shed at LeicesterHave to say I'm a little unsure as to why it would be going to Leicester
Ahhh, that'd explain it. At least I picked up some nice Gloucester Old Spot sausages!it is sat at Strensham Services M5 for the night
That's for the GBRf/Stadler contract.Haven't they got that big new shed at LeLeicester
Besides which, doesn't ROG now use the Derby RTC as it's maintenance base - for classic traction at least ? I would have thought the Stadler shed at Leicester would make sense butThat's for the GBRf/Stadler contract.
It has never been mentioned by ROG its being based at Leicester. Their original testing plan had Crewe as a mainline testing base.
Whether that comes to fruition is anyone's guess however.
I suspect testing (interference, gauging etc.) might allow subsequent ones to be delivered by rail, though suspect they will be dragged by another loco before getting set up / commissioned somewhere else.If the loco has already been tested at Velim, what does the UK testing do, or is it more for signal interference and UK box ticking, than actually checking if it works.
Once first one is cleared, will it be more a case of subsequent ones can be put into service as delivered, bit like 66s straight off ship at Newport from USA
