This may have to wait until the results are out, but does anyone know where numbers 2 and 17 were taken? Thanks :)

Went for 17 anyway, that's one hell of a shot.

Some excellent photos!

Would love to know where No. 17 is. (And no, I won't accept "not in the city" as a valid answer) ;)

Entering this competition was pointless because I have no chance against the magnificent #17!

I would suggest that the body of water in the background is probably the River Severn. This picture may have been taken from somewhere on the M5, or just off it, and probably in Gloucestershire, or just outside.

Wow, some nice photos this week! I had a great deal of trouble choosing only one. :(

Eventually settled on 2 but some of the others are particularly nice.

It's a pity 45035 is running tender first in 15, as it spoils a great picture a bit, but for me, there is only one winner anyway, the magnificent 17!

Excellent photos this week, but I'm going to have to go for 17, simply stunning.

Went for no. 17 there, although I did like the look of number 16 - rural little line, little 153...

Went for 15 - an excellent shot. I feel that with all due respect, 17 is a photo of a great view with a train in it and not the other way round.

Thanks to all those who voted (especially the people who voted for my shot).
It was taken from Haresfield Beacon, looking towards Wales and the River Severn.

In case it wasn't bloody obvious, I took #10. I underestimated the competition. I'm dealing with professional photographers. Now that I have time off, I will be taking some more pictures.

The best I've ever managed is joint 3rd, and my father is a semi-professional photographer (besides his usual TGM Heathrow duties) who has all kinds of equipment available and has taught me quite a bit...

We certainly aren't all professional. I've won this in the past and there's no way I'm a professional, the train involved actually came along purely by chance as I was passing, I was just lucky that everything seemed to fall into place. I can't imagine too many professionals enter this, it is a very light-hearted competition in many ways (for example that Photo 12).

No, I'm not a sore loser. I enjoy these photo competitions, even if I don't win. I'm just going to have to think outside the box if I want to win.
