Hmmm...That reminds me, I've been meaning to fix my own bike for over a
year now!
hock:
Admittedly though - Aside from me being a cheapskate who can't afford the stuff anyway, I've never really been able to get along with a lot of the more specialised equipment that I've seen the more dedicated cyclists using here and there. As a rule, it's either far too light, far too flimsy, or far too expensive for my tastes...
Personally, I just stick with a single steel-framed mountain bike for all of my cycling needs. Although I appreciate that a heavy frame and off-road tyres aren't really ideal for road use, they're still perfectly legal, I can still manage a little bit o' grunt despite being on 15/day, and I don't have to pfaff about for ages changing between road and off-road tyres if I decide to cut across country!
Incidentally...Has anyone ever managed to fit a trains air-horn to a bicycle and have it fully working on there?
