All 10 of these locos are now with GBRf.
  • 66250 moved to Doncaster Decoy
  • 66008/081/132/141/184 moved to Doncaster Roberts Road
  • 66016/046/058/238 moved to Peterborough
The 4 that were moved to Peterborough are seemingly on the move to Eastleigh already based on this pic (not mine): https://flic.kr/p/D2ayqZ

Can we safely assume that this batch of locos won't be getting the upgraded cab window mods like most other 66/7s (except 66738-66746), as they're headed to Eastleigh rather than longport ?

Assuming these will be repainted. The pic above shows two bright red DBC examples. Surprised they got rid of the red ones.

I believe that the window mods better insulate the cab from wind/temperature/draughts/accoustics. There by improving the drivers environment

Indeed it does...
Although i'm a bit surprised that the swing head knuckle coupler has been retained... would have thought they would have removed it to keep the couplings in line with the rest of the fleet

I love it when they extend the yellow from the cabs a bit further down the middle. Great choice of livery compared to the old one.

It has a draw hook for use with screw couplings if needed.

Whether there is or isn’t at the moment, if the coupling is already installed and working why would you want to limit yourself in the future by removing it?

Because if you have no need for it, it is something else that needs maintaining.

Please, how much do you think it needs maintaining in the grand scheme of things. They obviously thought it’s an asset worth keeping so they did.
