Do London Underground staff count as Civil servants?

Would LU staff count as civil servants, at least for Costco membership!

Staff badges show "Mayor of London" so perhaps more likely to go under local government worker if there is such a category.

I work for a TOC as well and im a member. Just say you work for Transport for London....

I joined costco by taking a wage slip in with me, and if there is a shortage of fuel you can go to the front of the que as you are an essental service

I more or less got ambushed by Costco salesmen pushing memberships at one station - I told them I worked for a TOC and they were more than happy to have me as a member.

Costco have been in train crew messrooms on LUL on many occasions trying to sign up staff.

If you buy brands then Costco is worth it, but otherwise I find it costs more for the products I buy.
