I am not even going to comment on your favourite loco being a class 66

Good luck with the site though :)

Jeez U like 66's?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?! Overated,overused & over here rings a bell!

They also rust like mad inside the cabs & the loco brake wont even hold the loco on a slight incline............utter sh*te!

I will forgive You with the 319's though.

Actually I do feel sorry for the younger enthusiasts out there that You were all to young to remember proper trains :)

Tom - the site is good. One improvement I'd make: the menu links should work with a single click, I had to double click.

Forum link - no comment! ;)

37s ended on Rhymneys and Fort Bill 2006,
50s comeback in 2006,
31s on Bristol-Brighton/Weymouth 2005,
87s ended 2006.
47s still around occasionally, eg Great Yarmouth in Summer

And in 2004 there were 86s, Thumpers, etc!

But, I have to admit, you couldn't just turn up randomly to get 'proper' traction, it was a case of having to plan trips carefully. Fortunately we managed to get trips to all the above examples before they ended. But it's looking very bleak for 2007... :(

Surely mine is SW bias though ;)

But the URL would suggest...

yes but your url says paignton railway centre which automatically says to me its based in the south...

I think for a video/photo site a good coverage of the whole country is good :)

Re the 37s, the scenery might not be comparable with the picturesque surrounding viewable from the sleeper or Rhymey line but there should be some top speed running which wouldn't be achieved on those particular runs.

The site's looking good Tom - 'fraid I don't have any videos on 66s yinging up though!

I'm working on a similar thing, my fave videos from last year.. none of this fancy WMM skills from me, just a bunch of hellfire, thrash-filled videos ;)

And there's only going to be 2 Yingers in the entire video.. being dragged by 2 class 37s

47703 sounded bloody awesome at the beginning there! Ex-Virgin stock in KGX, nice!

Speedy 158s there too! Really are thrashing out! 'Oh beauty!'

Nice bit DRS 37 thrash too, reminded me just how awesome they are!!!

Where did you film 47851 at?

And finished with some lush DRS 37 action.

Not a bad production at all!
