Hi on Saturday I'm going to have to travel up to West Sutton from Dorchester.

Would i be right in saying that a Super off peak return+Day travel card.
Is the cheapest way in doing this, without breaking the journey, or using advance tickets.

And are there any restrictions i need to be aware off?

Do you actually need the Travelcard? If not, then a point-to-point ticket is certainly cheaper.

I guess you are going to the Sutton game?

BRfares.com and TOC websites are showing a Super Off Peak Day Reurn for £55.10 (no railcard discount applied) as the cheapest fare. Route is "Not London" but seems to be OK to go via Clapham Junction and double back to Wimbledon. And there doesn't seem to be any restrictions on a Saturday. Your cheapest travelcard is more expensive at £61.00.

Your logical routes from Dorchester are
Dorchester-Woking-Wimbledon-West Sutton
Dorchester-Clapham Junction-Wimbledon-West Sutton
Dorchester-Clapham Junction-Sutton (Surrey)-West Sutton

Sutton (Surrey) is only about a mile walk from West Sutton so if the Wimbledon loop goes belly up then you do have away out.

The cheapest route would be

Dorchester - Ewell East Via Barnham Off Peak Day Return £24
Ewell East - West Sutton Anytime Day Return £4.80

Best route seems to be:
Dorch-Clapham junction-Sutton-West Sutton
(Or Dorch-Woking-Clapham-Sutton-West Sutton)

Cheapest ticket is either a super off peak or off peak day return with railcard it seems.
at £36.35
or £42.00

the Super off peak and off peak Returns Route wise says 'not valid via London'
But i believe that the route i mentioned via Clapham, does not count as going via London?

Clapham Junction is not London in that sense.
