I think there's so many other factors LNER can be forgiven for not diverting every single 800.
Don't diagree it must be a nightmare for them some trains are pushing 5hrs late now but it still seems a shame that when they have the capability to do so it can't be exploited.

feel sorry for anyone who got on the 1546 from Newark, not made it into Doncaster yet some 6 hours plus later!

Just made it 5h52 Late. I do hope LNER make sure the train crew team get some special payments in these situations.

They get paid any overtime accrued, return to work after having the standard 12 hour rest period if on duty tomorrow. Part and parcel of the job - just like any other toc.

Seems to have disappeared off the radar on RTT (unless I'm looking in the wrong place as usual!)?
Yeah it’s not updating some of the delayed trains, it is running gone past Thirsk

Stuck inside 1A52 with 1E25 next to us at Lovershall Junction for more than an hour now, quite unsure what we're waiting for pathwise to be honest, however quite unfamiliar with the area though.

You’re waiting for the heavily delayed northbound trains to come through the single line section from Retford. The 1600 KGX to ABD is on it now, the 1530 KGX-EDB is waiting at Retford

Train crew? Poor passengers….if they’d have flown they’d be coining it in right now but as they are merely train passengers they’ll get a refund and probably abandoned at their final destination with a shrug and an email address.

but rail is great honest….

Any suggestion as to what has happened to the pantograph leading it to be described as 'extreme damage'?
The Hull Trains unit has hit something on ohl, that split the pan head in 2, the pan has then come into contact with 4-5 overhead arms several damaging those, 1W20 has then hit all the damage and become entangled in the damage.

The BiMode units could divert via Lincoln but no doubt drivers don't sign the route as LNER don't ensure route knowledge is maintained.
Lner do ensure route knowledge, so get your facts right.
But as several others have stated, all depends on bimode units and crew.

W20 has now been sat between Retford and Doncaster for almost 9 hours now.
It will have taken 1S23 over 8 hours to get from Fletton Jn to Doncaster, that’s unacceptable really.

am surprised they not sent the 2 southbound ones through before now, it wasn’t taking them long to get through earlier. Think the crew off 1A52 work 1D36 back

1s23 had no one onboard

Correct, 1D36 will depart Kings Croas soon, and crew change at Peterborough.
00:26 1E25 on the move

Ah if had no one on board why didn’t that wait till E25 and A52 went through, they seem to be at full line speed.

No idea, suppose clear the north boujd back log, and my mistake, it had 4 people on, just been turfed off at Doncaster onto 1N34, and 1S23 terminated Doncaster. Driver out of hours.

Term at Edinburgh, busses or Hotels for any pass still onaboard.

Coaches to Aberdeen at this point would be rather unreasonable wouldn't it? Mind you, won't the Sleeper rock up in the not-too-distant future for those hardy enough to want it?

Shame that the 2333 Kings Cross-Leeds, which was 120 down by Doncaster, had to do its usual grand tour of West Yorkshire.

It ended up being 134 late into Leeds, whereas it could have made up 30 minutes if it could have been sent on the direct route via Wakefield Westgate.

Only one of four LNER services on the board (Inc the Aberdeen) at Leeds this morning showing as on time the rest are either delayed with no estimate or cancelled.

Engineering work on the Wakefield line, hence still had to do the Yorkshire tour

The line is still blocked, the 1w20 set needs rescuing by another set.
The line is blocked until at least 9am on both up and down at Bawtry, can imagine it will actually be longer.
Going to be another poor day on ECML.
