If I were the religious type I might think this was divine intervention. Not only am I saved from alcohol poisoning (not saying I'm sober now off my own back cause I'm not but my work does are something else) but I have discovered....

Flying Scotsman is at the NVR tomorrow!!!!

This is a massive silver lining with a tiny cloud.

A side-by-side evacuation is being performed between 1P82 and 1Z99 (180112).
What happened to 180112 after the pax had transferred please, I can't see anything on Real Time Trains?

Of course as 180112 should have worked 1N90 Kings Cross to Sunderland this morning with the same crew who lodge in London overnight, that was cancelled as well.

I went to Sandy this morning for the 06.55 to London and it was cancelled as well as loads of others.

Here I think!
Lol, yep that's it! Saw a TikTok video earlier from someone who had recorded an on-train announcement about the incident, and had wondered if I had read it in the comments of that video

It does seem extremely unlucky. A husky is nowhere near human size, and latter are hit fairly often without causing such carnage. I do wonder if this is the correct identification. It's presumably not easy to tell and I doubt they've been bothering with DNA tests. If it was just a very quick glimpse by the driver of something big that was grey and white could have been a heron which while also not human size makes more sense in terms of hitting pantographs etc.

That's assuming there is supposed to have been one husky. If there was a whole sled team then it would be one of the more bizarre incidents recently I'm aware of...

A fluke, at a guess tossed up in the air being pushed by the aerodynamic nose and with the train's speed the body caught the pan and that caught the knitting etc.

As an aside, the longest delay appears to have been just over 6 hours, with a York to London service arriving at King's Cross circa 0225.
