It’s the RMT - they find any and every excuse to strike when at times there’s really no need...
Especially at a time when the railways are so heavily supported by the taxpayer due to the collapse in passenger revenue.

Great way to encourage passengers back from using cars by going on strike.

Per above posts it isn’t going ahead luckily - talks are still ongoing with EMR and they haven’t collapsed yet

The strikes probably are happening, (sort of maybe, it's more of an overtime ban but there are some complex contractual issues, hopefully it gets called off with some progress made on sorting it out because it's been dragging on in one form or another for nearly 13 years and everybody is sick to death of it - blame Stagecoach), but they involve the conductors on the Regional routes rather than the train managers on the Intercity or Electrics routes and the issues at hand are nothing to do with multiple working of class 360s or safety.

The RMT massacred their press release, as per usual.

There was already a catering differential between the Meridians and HSTs in First Class. When catering comes back the offering on the Meridians/Adelantes will be consistent but no more full English breakfasts. Between 7am and 8am there were three Meridian and two HST services South from Wellingborough. The latter seemed more popular. But going to just two services, even if eventually 12-cars, will still be seen as a loss of flexibility. But yes, most customers would use the cafe on platform 1. However, only two services an hour means that in the peaks you'll need to allow plenty of time to get a coffee because custom won't be spread out across an hour.

BIB - I think one of them was down to the timing, certainly the 8.07 used to be an HST and was popular, but that's because it used to arrive in St P before 9am.

The EMR lettering is nice, as it's fills the otherwise empty yellow space in the middle. :D

Was 102 vinyled at Northampton? If so, the 1st 360 to be done isn't it?

Also, don't these enter service on the day of the May TT change, Sun 16th May?

With less than two weeks to go until the introduction of our new electric trains on our soon to be rebranded #EMRConnect route, here's a picture of one of our recently reliveried Cl360 units, ready for passenger service. A big thanks to Andrew Briddon for capturing this image Camera with flash

102’s now back at Cricklewood

Also not sure if this is related to the 360s, but the RMT strike is going ahead

Looks like the vinyl has air trapped underneath near the cab door unless it's a trick of the light with those photos

Think that is the reflection of the OHLE structure.

Incidentally I saw another pic taken in sunlight, and the unit looks much better almost looked a very deep metallic colour.

That will be due to the vinyl - similar to when the ONE franchise launched back in 2004, subsequent repaints weren’t metallic

But surely only railway enthusiasts and some railway staff will know that. Slap some new colour and new seat covers and internal vinyls, and their new clientele will think they are new. Look what happened to the Marston Vale passengers who were given refurbished D stock.
This is a fair point - I travelled on a refurbished Northern 158 last week and everything about it looked new inside and out, right down to the fact that the seats are now really uncomfortable  I imagine a lot of people would comment to someone that they have travelled on a 'new train' after having travelled on a refurbished train (should such a discussion come up). Remarkable what the companies that oversee this sort of work can do with trains that are decades old

It's nothing to do with 360s and train managers at all, the RMT messed up their press release and wrote a load of nonsense beyond the first paragraph. Not for the first time. It has now disappeared.

They're in discussions with EMR with regards to manning multiple units coupled but no ballot has even taken place let alone a strike.

Where things are a bit sour is a very long running dispute with the local train guards (senior conductors) over a lot of impositions made in the Stagecoach era to their contracts.

Thanks for clarifying that. Honestly. They don’t do themselves any favours do they?!

Looks very smart in my opinion.

It also appears those not being reliveried in the short term are receiving temporary branding over the FirstGroup blue (without the white stripe - photo creds Twitter)

The first 360 (360102) to receive the purple EMR treatment. (Not my picture)

Wow, that does look very nice!

Unconfirmed, but I can only assume that this is the only unit being re-liveried for the time being with the rest going into the interim solution shown above, almost like a repeat of the launch of EMR back in August 2019 where they do up one unit and allow the rest to become almost neglected for a while.

I like the purple livery, but the blue interim branded livery looks nice too.
