Its absolutly no excuse.
I could walk onto the track and could be prosecuted for trespass. "There were no signs"
The fact that fast trains are within inches of you would suggest you shouldn't stand there surely ??
I understand common sense point made. and yes fast trains? that would surely say to FGW about improvements need to be made!
One person was very close and looks like hes being a bit stubborn and quiet so i will apologise for his judgement.
But for me, only one apology to make, thats alcohol, but the main debate on my position, i WONT back down, i KNOW where i was!
Yes the behaviour was unusual for this meet, i dont believe the mistake will be made again since the next meet is a station that has a yellow line and is also a station that has been done once before.
I would seriously say to people on this forum that are angry over the video's done, i can only apologise and say that we are not chavs at all, and is something that makes Valeg members very unhappy about!
Valeg has done very well for its other meets and has done well to increase in numbers, as well as the amount of members joining. Its ever growing and that this debate will not stop ppl from joining on these meets.
I occasionaly do vids alone not with valeg as sometimes i require the enviroment of the station within my vids. And for that i go alone.
Rejecting other enthusiasts will only make you look bad and judgemental, your opinion of valeg members that went to the meet as chavs is unacceptable! I expect an aplogy here for this will keep on trying to bridge with other enthusaists to create a truce.
Valeg will continue with meets, and will continue to take on the advice of staff in the train companys as it has done in the past.

Look at the paving slabs. See the edge of them. Do you not think that the edge of them constitutes the "line of safety".
Zoom doesn't change field of view - it only changes distance of view - therefore zoom would have no effect as to what the picture would be where you are standing on the platform - in fact if anything it gives us a better perspective, especially as there doesn't seem to be any obstructions in the video.
A lot of the drivers may be waving back - but do you not think they could also be waving to tell you to be in a place of safety rather than jumping up and down looking like a load of idiots on the edge of the platform....
The BTP are more likely to arrest you for dangerous behaviour on railway property rather than ask for suggestions on how to improve safety. Besides, being ignorant if a yellow line isn't there doesn't matter, on average the yellow line is 80cm I think from the platform edge ....
Paving slabs to me, in honesty, mean nothing as to any normal person, paving slabs are something we walk on without any info of danger or a warning.
Your words on the 80cm from edge of platform will be taken note and thankyou for that advice.
