Just for clarification please, on the application page there is a space for expected salary. Why to ask this when the salary breakdown is already mentioned on the overview page of the job advertisement? Any thoughts on this please.

I’d just put £70k-£90k expectation in line with advertised salary. Can’t go wrong then!
Best of luck with the application!

Closes 25th September but may close sooner…
Thanks for the heads up on this.

Is it possible to pick your brain for interview preparation tips if successful in applying/proceeding to video interview stage?

Been needing a reason to learn a touch more French for a while now… feel like this would be a pretty good motivator!

What is the scope, once fully qualified and settled with E*, for transferring to their Paris (or other European) depot?
Would they be prepared to sponsor the work visa? Does this happen much already, or is it not supported?

It's not possible. It is a different system over there. Drivers on the french side are basically seconded/contracted TGV drivers from SNCF.
The only drivers 'fully employed' by Eurostar are the London based ones.

Does anyone have any information regarding their pension. The application just says “a great pension”. Presumably it’s not part of the railway pension scheme?

Is the retirement age still 60? When I left it was At my current TOC it's 62, and they allowed me to transfer it over + added additional years on when combining.
On the same subject do they let you continue beyond 60 if you wish or are you obliged to retire?

Pretty sure the normal retirement age is still 60 but you can definitely stay longer…

The European Driving licence just has UK where the EU flag was on the previous one. It was only European in name anyway to be honest, and couldn’t be used outside the UK, so if you wanted to drive trains in Europe you’d essentially still have to start again as a trainee. I appreciate it’s a bit different on Eurostar though.
Ok mate, cheers

Any idea how long it might take to hear back after the adverts been removed?

The original advert said week commencing 15th October for the next stage.
I’d keen an eye on emails in the build up to that though, I’d imagine they’d be in touch to arrange/schedule a firm date!

Once driving for Eurostar , is there any possibilities of working at a French depot? As I wouldn’t mind moving over to France in a few years time ?
