The other problem with the 365s is that they were built by two different companies weren't they? Are all the parts interchangeable?

It's crazy that some of them have no door open buttons in first class and rely on a ceiling movement sensor that regularly fails (same problem between cars). I've seen people banging on the doors to get someone outside to let them out!

You're thinking about the 465s ...

465/0s and /1s were made by BREL/ABB with the 465/2 and 466s made by GEC-Alsthom ...

365s were made by ABB after the 465s ...

Well, the door buttons are on either the former Wagn or SET/Connex versions. They each say BRB Class 465 when booting up though!

correct about the boot up message and also yer i do mean poor quality when it comes to simple things like doors opening and closing. dont get me wrong i like the 365s but when it takes years to do a simple repair on a unit 365505 london end and you have to have it coupled at all times and gets abit of a joke.

the original problem was air-con issue then something else and so it went on and on lol.

365 505 was the 'launch' train for FCC's takeover of the franchise wasn't it?
