As far as I am concerned there are no male or female drivers. Just drivers. This is a difference however in train drivers and people who drive trains

Thank you everyone, I have applied to Transport Wales and feel really keen to do something for me. My husband was a pilot and is now redundant so I feel it's my turn to have a career I can be proud of....
Nope. People who drive trains, are, by definition, train drivers.

Do you think you‘re more of a “train driver” than someone who isn’t a spotter and only does it to pay the bills.
I am a 47 year old woman who would like to start a new career now my children are older. Am I too old??

The application form has to be pretty damn good. In some respects a good hurdle to fall at as it prepares you for the stringent selection tests and processes.Very disappointed as I have received a 'with regret' email from Transport for Wales. Gutted
