There is a new colour on the road today. Same colour as the 254.
For which route?

Route 3. Bus 67821 I believe.
How is that OCD?
Anyway...2 goes past Parkhead and 3 goes past Ibrox...swapping over the colours would be egg on face time.
We should be seeing at least another 1 done this year. It’s odd I seem to associate certain routes with certain colours and I never saw the 3 as orange I saw more of a green for that route and the 2 being pink or blue. Lol... anyway
It’s good to see more routes being branded.

So there is no mention of Govan or Drumchapel on the 3s branding. What’s the point of that?
Neither Faifley or Baillieston appear on the branding for the 2.So there is no mention of Govan or Drumchapel on the 3s branding. What’s the point of that?

I think because that’s the end destination there is no need to have it on the branding really. The 2 is the exact same.
The 38 also just lists via points.
75 has castlemilk and milton on itI think they all do?
I think they all do?
Something I’ve noticed about the buses on the 9 is that they are slowly getting into a more dire state.
seen a few at the bus station today with the side display displaying nothing but solid rectangles.
is a a refurbishment or replacement planned for these buses anytime soon, as I’m pretty sure these are the same ones that have been around since at least 2006 (when I last used the 9)
Yes these are the native B7RLEs that were introduced in 2005/2006. It’s such a shame because they are good buses they just need a refurb and repaint.
It’s been rumoured various times that the 9/9A will be the next route to receive new stock in the form of E200MMCs but it is yet to be confirmed.

Whereas if I had the option, I'd switch away from McGills - I specifically need the Spateston branch, but it's hideously unreliablePersonally, if I was living in paisley I’d take the 38, purely on the quality of the buses.

When the Volvo B7rles were new they were used on the 20, 40, 54, 61 and 62. Then a couple of years later second hand examples arrived, mainly with Manchester and West Country prefixes (although I'm not sure exactly were they came from) to run on the 201, 240 and 267.Yes these are the native B7RLEs that were introduced in 2005/2006. Anyone have any photos of 67821?

I haven't known the 9 to be fully operated by new buses for a very long time. Going back 30 years ago some of the AH Volvo Citybuses were put on the 9 when new but it was still predominately operated by LAs (Leyland Atlanteans).
The Volvo B10las were new to First Glasgow to be used on the 62. They were transferred down south (not sure where) in 2001 and returned in 2005. The B7las I think came from Southampton and there was one brand new (05 plate) and they were mainly used on the 9 and the 40. The 05 plate was transferred to Aberdeen and the rest were all withdrawn by 2013.I remember the B7RLEs appearing on the 9 when they were fairly new. The B10LAs and B7LAs were on that route mainly at that time if I recall.
The 9 is fairly popular still so I’m surprised that it’s not had newer buses before now.
