I honestly don't know what the fate of this vehicle will be but an number of the panels under the side advertisements have warped quite badly also due to the heat which isn't noticeable in the pictures of the vehicle online.Scrapped then?
which if its a flare throwing ned its likely they’ll get about enough to get replace the damaged advertsThat all depends on the insurance, the bus is only around 1 year old, if that so it may turn out that it's cheaper to repair than to replace the bus. ADL will be happy that it wasn't a fault with the vehicle though and they won't have to cover the cost. Perhaps if they actually manage to catch who did it, they should force them to pay for a new bus out of their own pockets.
ive only seen the right hand side after the it was put out but the pictures during it seem to show the left hand side on fire a bit more than the left?I honestly don't know what the fate of this vehicle will be but an number of the panels under the side advertisements have warped quite badly also due to the heat which isn't noticeable in the pictures of the vehicle online.
First are self insured and even if they do catch the culprit it’s highly unlikely they’ll be able to recover upwards of £250,000 from a person who finds it acceptable to go around throwing flares in buses. That all depends on the insurance, the bus is only around 1 year old, if that so it may turn out that it's cheaper to repair than to replace the bus. No longer use radios communication with drivers is now done through the ticketer machine.Ive noticed a few geminis on the 38 last few days .
Do FIG still use driver radios , not heard one for a while.
Noticed ‘the one’ E300s are looking a bit shabby now. They’re the oldest of all the enviros having been introduced first but their livery is pretty faded and parts of ‘the one’ branding has started to peel and fade. I thought they would have been re-livered first and branded but not seen anything.
Could this be a hint that the 1 could be up for new buses?

at least the branding has stayed on better and longer than Lothian Country’s X38 branding which 2 months down the line has already come off in most busesNoticed ‘the one’ E300s are looking a bit shabby now. probably because all the branded ones have had flares thrown at themIve noticed a few geminis on the 38 last few days .
It’s not supposed to no but it can be done.I will add that text message through the ticket machine Isn’t able to be used while bus is in motion.
All 4 are being rerouted in the city centre towards BBS they will now operate Ingram St onto Queen StAnyone know anything about the changes on the 2nd February are?
All I've seen mentioned is route and stopping places changes for the 240,255,263,267 but nothing about what those changes actually are

I wonder if the objective here is to reduce the number of bus movements around George Square. From my observations, before the 21 was re-routed to Cochrane Street, usually ( but not always ), once traffic passed the traffic lights at the corner of Glassford Street and Ingram Street, the lights at the junction of South Frederick Street and Ingram Street were " green " and so traffic flowed reasonably freely through these junctions to the junction of South Frederick Street and George Square. All 4 are being rerouted in the city centre towards BBS they will now operate Ingram St onto Queen St
X1 Gemini 37202 on the 75... Bit of a surprise

Presumably..Might be a loan?
Yes whilst the Christmas market was on they were on diversion. They were already doing that recently .
Is it just me or does the E200MMC look so much better with full sized wheels?!
I think the bigger wheels improve the smoothness of the journey not to mention how much better they look. My issue with the E300s and E200MMCs was the smaller wheels made them feel more flimsy. I get it’s more environmentally friendly and makes the bus lighter effectively but imo bigger wheels really do look better.
Never actually thought about this tbh. Always felt a bit bouncier on an E300 compared to bigger wheeled E200 MMCs
Assume by "bigger wheeled E200 MMCs" you're refering to the new BYDs?
The reason the smaller wheels are popular is because they help reduce fuel/weight.
