Just withdrawn from Weston. A full xfer or just for rail replacement?

Will be needed for rail replacement services methinks. Two vehicles down today, 23019 and Streetdeck 35149 out of service in Camborne. The latter has evidence of side damage including two broken windows. Body side scuff marks would suggest impact with another vehicle although I am just surmising.

I was bus spotting in St Austell and elsewhere today

The two pink-fronted East Lancs tridents were on the 27 with 32048 today

YK04KWR was on the 27A to St Austell College (Lee was the driver, as per usual :D)

There was a nimbus on the 223 to Truro College, saw it in Bodmin this morning at around 07:50

OWB243 and 32758 were both standing at St Austell Bus Station when I got there, dunno what they were doing but OWB243 was really beat up

One of the newly transferred E200 Darts, 44919 on the 25 made a brief visit with 42875 (On the 101, possibly all day)

When going back on the 27, I saw Y2EDN heading in the St Austell direction, don't know what for though

That's all from me today, and here is a photo of 42875 and 44919 (Warning, a little on the large side):

Saw a photo yesterday of an early Trident recently painted as a Cornish flag with the title "The Cornish embassy" (in partnership with the office of national minority statistics). Can't share the photo unfortunately and the identity of the bus is unknown. Certainly very distinctive and eye catching!

Two of the Atlantic Coaster opentoppers were in convoy at St Erth about 2 p.m. today in PZ direction. Only had a couple of seconds to take in details but no. plates ended in 16 and 66 respectively (I think!)

Two were in convoy past Treliske Hospital at around 1-15pm and were 32104 & 32208. Returning from Par moor testing station possibly?

It can be partially seen in the long rock depot from the road. It’s involved with these people https://goldentree.org.uk/
They seem connected to the man engine and have a Facebook page The Tick Box Bus

Seen the Solo before, from memory it is W813 PAF.
Be interested to see what stays and what departs now the rail replacement services are finished.

Being resident in Plymouth, it has been difficult to keep up with FSW happenings first hand. Although withdrawn some time ago no disposals appear to have been recorded by PSV Circle or others for many vehicles including:
31820/1/46/34049/52/183 32713 40033/4/5/7/41132/42469/70/2//4/6/7/521/3/6/623/724/758/842 43809 48232/4/262/5/7/8 50284/5 53001/9/11/2/4 60814 65597.Can anyone help with disposal details please.
Welcome to the Group. This information is not very helpful regarding actual disposals, but I have looked on the official First fleetlist published on Steve White's SWBuses website for Dec 2017. Apart from 31820/1 42469/74/76/521/26/842. 48232/34 53001/11 60814 65579 (which are shown as withdrawn), all the others on your list appear in the 'sold' section. Since then 31820/1 has been listed by First as leaving the fleet in Period 9 up to 8 Jan 2018 and 60814 leaving in the period up to 5 March 2018. So on the face of it these others are allegedly still owned. However some observers are not convinced the FSW lists are up to date and the buses may have been sold by now, having been withdrawn so long ago. If you look back on this First Kernow thread on pages 177 178 and 179 there have been references about the disposals etc for 31820/1 48232/4 53011 60814 65579.

Ukbuses.co.uk has the most up to date fleet lists I’ve seen, with the latest update being on March 11 2018. I’ve been observing it and it gets updated every 1-2 weeks. Although, it doesn’t have all the First fleet lists in the country for some reason.

Steve White fleetlist is up to date this month and likely to be more accurate as it comes from official sources.

I am also helping the admin to keep it up to date, it helps me out a lot so that I can keep track of what vehicles we've currently got and it tells me the engine, body, chassis, seating formation, livery, fleetnumber, and branding for the buses, and it also tells you if they are withdrawn etc, it's a really good one to support

[email protected] is the email address if you want to send updates.

Oh and it also tells you what depots the vehicles are allocated to!

Unfortunately the UK Buses fleet lists are often inaccurate which means it's difficult to recommend them as an info source.

Bear in mind there’s two UKbuses websites, one of which is hyphenated which is the one that hasn’t been updated in months. The aforementioned (not hyphenated) site is the one that’s up to date and I find just as accurate as Steve Whites. Just a shame not all the fleetlists are shown.

Blue E400 33422 and blue MMC 33479 on Tinner duties today.
Coach 20502 presumed withdrawn at Camborne, fleet numbers, legals etc all removed.

For the record 20502 now has a SORN against it. 20504 soldiers on?
Mercedes Benz Vario 56002 and 56004 also have SORN against them probably confirming they are leaving the fleet

I'm aware that this thread mainly concerns itself with the vehicles used by First Kernow, reflecting the interests of most of those viewing it, I guess. but I'd like to draw attention to a timetable detail, which, with routeings, is much more my own interest. It is not new, but I only became aware of it this evening by observation. The A17 journey from Pendeen at 18.51 is timed to reach Penzance Bus Station at 19.28, and terminates there. At 19.20 another A17 on this supposedly through route leaves Pz Bus Stn for St Ives, the next bus being at 20.20. In practice (at least, this evening, with rain lashing down) the 19.28 arrival gets there before then, being allowed five minutes to get from its previous stop in Market Jew Street, a journey unlikely to take more than two minutes in normal circumstances, so the two buses may well be on a part of the one way system at the same time, but without any chance of passengers making a connection, as they were indeed tonight. The next journey from Pendeen is at 20.01, so that at least misses any possible connection by over ten minutes. Is there really no way that passengers wishing to make a journey from one side of Penzance to the other, or more widely afield, couldn't be treated better, particularly with the journey featured? If anyone at FK reads this, I hope this gives food for thought with possible mitigation.
