I'm aware that this thread mainly concerns itself with the vehicles used by First Kernow, reflecting the interests of most of those viewing it, I guess. but I'd like to draw attention to a timetable detail, which, with routeings, is much more my own interest. It is not new, but I only became aware of it this evening by observation. The A17 journey from Pendeen at 18.51 is timed to reach Penzance Bus Station at 19.28, and terminates there. At 19.20 another A17 on this supposedly through route leaves Pz Bus Stn for St Ives, the next bus being at 20.20. In practice (at least, this evening, with rain lashing down) the 19.28 arrival gets there before then, being allowed five minutes to get from its previous stop in Market Jew Street, a journey unlikely to take more than two minutes in normal circumstances, so the two buses may well be on a part of the one way system at the same time, but without any chance of passengers making a connection, as they were indeed tonight. The next journey from Pendeen is at 20.01, so that at least misses any possible connection by over ten minutes. Is there really no way that passengers wishing to make a journey from one side of Penzance to the other, or more widely afield, couldn't be treated better, particularly with the journey featured? If anyone at FK reads this, I hope this gives food for thought with possible mitigation.
