It's not unknown for an Enviro 200 to be on the 2 although quite rare. It's probably the only Bath route normally operated by Solos that can handle one. Widcombe Hill is the route today as the normal way Ralph Allen Drive is closed for two days for roadworks. An Enviro 200 44553 on the Bath 2 today, is it normal?
And Bath 2 is making a diversion through Widcombe Hill instead of Prior Park Road today.
Made an enquiry with a bus company fiend and whatever internal tracker they have has automatically picked up an alert about the wrong routing and those concerned will be rebriefed........

Will be it be a monstrous job?
Just been for a journey on the new 2A that was originally intended to be introduced back in April! I intended to get out on the Southmead Road/Pen Park Road junction bus stop, to get a bit of shopping in LIDL. However when running along Southmead Road, the driver then turned left into Doncaster Road! "Eh??!! He's going the wrong way!!!" I thought to myself. But I didn't bother saying anything to the driver(not so easy to do anyway what with having to wear a face mask and also the perspex screen in the way!). I thought I'll just get out by the Greystoke Avenue ALDI instead, and get the 2 back. After a very quick shop in ALDI, I returned to the bus stop waiting for a 2. And then along came a 2A! I thought the driver on there is going the wrong way too! Were these drivers both taking the wrong route? Or is this actually the correct route, and they're not running via the lower part of Pen Park Road after all? Also on the way back I noticed a couple more 2A's heading towards Brentry, but the destination displays on these buses said Brentry Charlton Road Junction. I thought the 2A's were supposed to actually run down Charlton Road and terminate at the layby? If this is the correct route and terminating point, then this new 2A didn't turn out to be as it was supposed to be, and is just in fact a slightly shortened version of the 2 with no actual route variation.
EDIT: Just checked the detailed timetable on TravelineSW. And it confirms the 2A is supposed to be running via the lower park of Pen Park Road, and not via Doncaster Road and Greystoke Avenue. So both those drivers were taking the wrong route! Wonder how many other drivers on the 2A will be taking the wrong route though Southmead! Also the timetable confirms the terminating/starting point of Charlton Road layby, and not Charlton Road Junction!
I saw one serving Pen Park Road down to Lidl. Don't think the plan was ever for it calling into Southmead Hospital itself only to the Southmead Hospital stop on Southmead Road.I thought the 2a was supposed to now serve Southmead Hospital bus station hence the routing down the whole length of Pen Park Road, well my informant is the very Bristol Bus Guru himself, David Redgewell.
44526 has suffered really serious fire damage around its engine compartment. Only my opinion but it could almost be terminal.
I see poor old 30873 has now been taken away from Bath Depot by Ensign according to Ross Newman’s official monthly list for July. 30873 was acquired from Kernow in July 2018 but never entered service allegedly because of corrosion but which has provided spares and a fair chunk of its bodywork to keep similar ALX400s going.
Just when Cornwall was cutting down on Tridents! I assume this is for the new college services either directly or indirectly.I’ve heard 30877 from LH and 33144/158/182 from HE have transferred down to Camborne.
Rumoured some of the 320xx batch of Bath Spa Uni deckers have/are heading down as well.
30877 is a survivor. As it was waved away from Camborne for disposal in Sep 2018 never to return...Just when Cornwall was cutting down on Tridents! I assume this is for the new college services either directly or indirectly.
What! Will that one never die? And it sounds as if they got to Kernow without breaking down on Bodmin Moor?30877 is a survivor. As it was waved away from Camborne for disposal in Sep 2018 never to return...

It’s been a resilient if not a comfortable machine! It’s been fairly reliable whilst up here hasn’t it, as well as those 3 Tridents.
Thanks. I see 65726 and 66731 (not surprising given its accident damaged state) have also gone for scrap from Ensign.From First West of England : Volvo B7TL’s W728DWX / KP51WCG / WAJ / WDE / LT52WVP / WVO / WWD / WWE / WVY / WUK / WVZ / WWA / WWB YU52VYM KP51WCW Tridents LN51GKY / GKV / GKU.
WCG and WAJ have been confirmed as subsequently going for scrap.

Something different on Bath U2 today. Wells' 66720 EXPLORING the Twerton part of the MENDIPS!
I think all buses have this flashing between that and the destination and service number on the side display. I believe something is also displayed flashing after the service number on the back too. The Hanovers must have been updated over the weekend to incorporate new service numbers/destinations.I noticed yesterday that all services yesterday in Yate that I saw had FACE COVERINGS MUST BE WORN displaying on the side destination.
There has also been a 667** Barbie B7LE on the 93x today. Didn’t cat66723 and 66724 were running duplicates on the 8 in Bristol in this evening's rush hour.
Meanwhile, 36808 (m2) was on the 24.
Yes this rumour appears to be true. Several deckers have been retrieved from the Westbury store, returned to Bath for checking before heading to Cornwall. In April stored at Westbury were purplies 32003 32014 and possibly 32015. Bath Spa Uni 32069/70/75/76/83/96 plus Barbie 32291. There may have been others stored there since April. Other Bath ALX400s which have been off since March/April are 32279/80/84/85 and purple 32007 but I don’t know where these are.I’ve heard 30877 from LH and 33144/158/182 from HE have transferred down to Camborne.

Edit - just seen @richw has posted in the FSW confirming the move of the first 4.
Those were all ex FHD and 182 was the best of all the many Tridents we had. It’s been fairly reliable whilst up here hasn’t it, as well as those 3 Tridents.
They certainly put the hours (and miles) in on the 75/76 in Bristol, they were out most days. Those were all ex FHD and 182 was the best of all the many Tridents we had.
