Another one? Christ this week seems to be going from bad to worse!

Is the driver OK? I suspect the same reason as the DBS derailment?

6B33 1335 TTho Theale to Robestone empty tanks, so I have initiated some enquiries.

What would that be doing going through Yate? Unless it was routed Theale > Newbury > Westbury > Bath > Filton > Yate > Gloucester > Severn Tunnel Junction > onwards to Robeston, there's no way it could get to Yate?

I have now confimed train ID now as 6B13.

Also Gloucester to Bristol Parkway is closed indefinitely r/a emergency engineering works between Cam and Dursley.

6B13 is 66014 & 66070 today , left over 5 hrs late
Top-and-tailed presumably as diverted because of Wickwar problem (see below) and running via Parkway and Westerleigh with a reversal at Yate.

Line problem in the Wickwar Tunnel area.
Train services between Birmingham New Street and Bristol Temple Meads are being disrupted due to a problem near the railway in the Wickwar Tunnel area.
Short notice alterations, cancellations and delays of up to 90 minutes can be expected.

Latest information stating train is on the Tytherington Branch line and the derailment is one wheel of the bogie of 66070 next to the tank wagon.

Train to be left overnight.

Sounds like a storm in a teacup after all that !

I suppose most of us still have the Carrbridge incident in our minds though, and - With one recent "big" accident already in mind - It's often natural for the human mind to think "Oh no, not again" as soon as someone uses the words "accident" and "rail" in the same sentance. :)

At least this isn't (Primarily) an aviation forum...An old wives tale suggests that air accidents come in threes!
