Hi I passed medical in July still hoping for January intake as I had to give longer notice. Just querying were they your first choice depots or second?

I didn't really give a first or second choice as I was happy to relocate, which is probably why I got give hither green which wasnt even on the original advert lol
If I could of picked I'd probably of chose rugby as its near to where I currently live, but Im happy for a change of scenery :D

Is that hither green as I'm South London?. Could they not have found you something a little nearer, I mean Lawley street I hear is always after drivers and that's gotta be about an hour or so from leicester hasn't it (providing you are still based Leicestershire as your profile shows?), or what about midland road?.

Although, I guess if relocating isn't really an issue then fair play to you mate, go for it. I just dont think I could leave sunny leicestershire :)

Yeah South London,
The only place they had advertised near by was rugby.
Yeah I am from Leicester and will miss the place, but I like the idea of moving around a bit and seeing other places

Good luck and well done to everyone starting tomorow (22nd sept). I should have been starting tomorrow as well but my optician didnt get the information to me, to get to HR in time for me to be on the course....

Fingers crossed I will be on the next course in january, but hope it goes well for everyone :)

I'm reckoning that all of those playing the waiting game may not hear anything this coming week due to sorting out the necessary documents for tomorrows new intake. Hope I'm wrong though!!

I don't know if this helps anyone specifically, but we had a meeting with Heavyhaul management at Rugby yesterday to talk about the new work that's on its way to replace our soon to end Bardon contract, during discussions the subject of graduate drivers cropped up and we were told that courses will be in place up to March next year. Some of you may end up at Rugby ;)

Good luck...

That would tally with a course starting in January and possibly ending in March?

Or could that mean a third intake starting in March? That would be cool for those still "in the loop". ;)

As I understood it, it was a third course starting next March ;)

(As I mentioned a few days ago though, something to bear in mind is the availablility or otherwise of mentor drivers to ensure all graduates get their handling hours in as soon as possible. With lots of new work on the horizon and the required route learning / refreshing that goes with it, I honestly think it'll be a struggle).

Good luck mate. 13 minutes!!! I thought it would be an hour or so. Best of luck. I hope you get a start. I know how important this is and how much it means to me. I would imagine everybody is the same.

13 minutes!!! Wow. I was in for an hr (felt like 2). I wonder when we are going to hear something. Passed my medical in July and have been waiting patiently since. Don't think we will hear anything til everyone has had their interview. My postman is beginning to think I'm a stalker! Good luck to everyone. Patience is the key. (I hope)

I m beginning to wonder if I did anything wrong. All my questions came from the HR girl. None from the other guy.........

I'd not worry about it! Sometimes things just don't make sense.

Anyone else not heard anything at all since the interview?

Well I had my stage 2 at the end of July and have not heard anything since, no date for an interview or a rejection letter/phone call/nothing.

I think I might cave in and finally call as I have a sneaking suspicion I must have missed a rejection phone call, or a letter didn't turn up etc...

Yeah I've been wondering the same thing, from my point of view there's no real rush for news - but i've had a few parcels go missing lately so i've just got that slight niggling doubt that I might not have received something.

Remember there's almost certainly a course in March. That's 6 months away. So there's definitely going to be a wait, especially with courses to organise etc.

The guy before me was only in about 15 minutes and I was only in 25 purely because of the questions I asked them. The woman was really nice n friendly but the other guy didn't say a lot and just looked at me. Who knows I'm praying now. Defo course in jan and March. Interviews finish the week after next.

That's helpful, thanks everyone

Hi Richio. How long did your interview last. Everybody I have spoke to was between 20 minutes to half an hour. Just wondering what yours was as you have got one of the positions. Thanks. Hope it's going well

Thanks Richio. I answered all they asked as well as I could at the time. Came away wishing I had said some other things also. Fingers crossed now. Enjoy the training. You've done well.

Hi mate, no I have heard nothing in 9 weeks now, pretty scary no mail no email no call, I take it as good news and some unfortunate people have been told a few weeks ago they haven't been successful, I need to know asap as I've got to renew my lease on my unit soon and don't want to if I'm going to be starting soon! What stage are you at? Did you get a call after tye interview if you've had one?
