Cheers well i could either do it tomorrow, Wednesday or Thursday! So gone with Thursday to give myself a bit of time to prepare! Work wont be happy mind as such short notice but what can ya do :/ any pointers and advice for stage 2 anyone?

Only thing you can really prepare for is the MMI

I did this last week. It consists of three tests on the Vienna (computer) system. If you pass those 3 tests then you will be invited for the MMI. (you get told after you have all completed the Vienna and had a brief break)

Do the practice materials. The photo, hand coordination are good practice materials. The concentration test is a tricky one to prepare for. You're either good at concentrating for long period of time (30mins) or you're not.

Do the practice materials for the MMI. This is an intense interview that can last from 40 mins to 1hr 30mins depending on how you play out your answers.

That's all I can give without giving away EXACTLY what the tests are. Just take your time, pause between tests, you can do this. If you go wrong/panic, take a second or two before starting your next test. It will make sense on the day.

Thanks iwannabe, greatly appreciated! I got the impression there isn't as many ways to practice and prepare for these tests in comparison to assessment day 1... but I don't mind that tbh because like you say your either good at it or your not! And Lord nelson street, liverpool 9am-5pm Nov 6th mate.

I contacted them today to see how i had done on stage 1 ,they told me i had passed stage 1 and need to book stage 2 for tomorrow , wow ,all booked ,luckily enough i have been practicing just in case,fingers crossed

Very good! Won't be long hopefully. I passed everything with enhanced score. Did they tell you how you did on the day too?

Yeah we all passed the Vienna at enhanced. Did they say roughly how long before you would be told about the MMI result? We were told about a week but it's been longer.

Don't mean to sound thick lol. But what is Vienna test? You mean the computer ones? And I don't know how long the MMI will be. When I did it she marked it and told me the result there and then. And how many of you were there that passed? Were you in a big group?

Four of us were at the assessment stage 2 yesterday and all passed the Vienna now a waiting game for the mmi!

Anyone had any feedback yet with MMI results? I took the stage 2 last Thursday and still waiting on a reply. Passed the Vienna Test. I assume they sending out a mass reply to everyone once they are all complete.

Vienna is the computer test, yes. There was 3 in our group. We all passed the Vienna and had the MMI.

Depending on the TOC but when I had mine they just went over the answers you gave on your application form , it is scored and shouldn't be taken lightly , lots have failed at this stage thinking it's no big deal, best to use the star technique

I've sat the driver managers interview for FTPE.i was asked the following questions.
Why do you want to be a train driver?
Are you willing to work at other depots should vacancies arise?
Tell us your previous employment history?
What do you know about FTPE?
Driver training maybe residential should you live to far from the training school is this a problem?
Can you start on ..... Date?

I found it quite a relaxing experience and my advice would be to have questions for them.Obviously wear a suit and mention any experience you have gained relevant to the role like shift work and working alone.

They will briefly go through your application and I was in there about 15 minutes.
