I'm not 100%, but i'm pretty sure our induction will be at SWT's training school in Basingstoke!
Yeah, I mis understood your last post.
See you on the 30th then!
Wait sorry lol, they've given me a start date of the 30th of January do they mean I will be starting my induction that day or starting at Waterloo the official job? Sorry I'm confused
The induction will start on the 30th, after the induction we will go off to our own places.
Your inductions at Basingstoke station or the training centre (also in Basingstoke)?

Yeah all the info is long but interesting and exciting to read! Congrats man, I can't wait to start either but still got another whole month to wait!
They confirm if your induction is at the station or the training centre?
Trainee driver at Waterloo mate. Starting in march so still a bit of a wait.
Greaz, thats awesome to hear. Didn't expect for it to be at the station!
What time does your train get to the station, mine will be in basingstoke for 8.15am.
Just got all my paperwork through the post, so guessing my medical came back ok. Just got to get used to all these early starts now
.
See you next monday Greaz!
Great to hear! Congratulations See you in Basingstoke lol, I can't wait! See you in Basingstoke!
What station will you be working in?I can't wait either I'm hoping this week will fly by!
What station will you be working in?
I will be working at Southampton Central.
I have my induction at Basingstoke with you though. I'm in Basingstoke Monday, up to Waterloo Tuesday morning and then back to basingstoke in the afternoon. Then on Wednesday I get to meet my manager and the people I'll be working with in Southampton. No idea what happens after all that though, we'll probably find out on Monday.
After meeting your manager and colleagues you go back to Basingstoke to the Recruitment and Selection centre for some training, Ticketing, Disability awareness, Safety and security and Conflict awareness, oh and of course Customer service.
This takes up about 10 days (weekdays only) and then you go to your home station for Barrier training and then you work together with a "coach" at the gates for a few weeks until they leave you on your own!
Phew, I think I've covered it!
Thanks for that dude! On the Tuesday, in Basingstoke, we have "safety and customer awareness training" but that's all it mentions!
By home station, is that the one I will be working at or one near to where I live?
I think we get our uniforms on Tuesday too
We do indeed, thats what we have to go to Waterloo for. Means I have to be on the 06:24 from Fratton.
I think we get our uniforms on Tuesday too
You'd better start getting used to that! Early Gateline shifts can start as early as 6am! Mine is 6:30am so I always take the 05:54 Hampton Court train in the mornings to get to Clapham! This means getting up at 5 or earlier depending on how long it takes you to spruce up
Home Station = The one where you'll be based, ie Southampton Central! I must come and visit you sometime!

Uniforms are one of the best parts, I was pretty amazed at what they gave us, and the quality of it is brilliant. Needless to say I don't like Ironing...!![]()

Lool, I can't wait for it, what time would you roughly say we would be starting the job and finishing it everyday
As if...I suppose it is best to train in familiar surroundings. Would be nice to finally put a face to the name. As long as you don't come along and cause any trouble.....
The uniform is very similar to what my dad has to wear, he is a bus driver for stagecoach. His seems to be really good quality, the opposite end of the scale to the uniform I wore before
