I've been advised that GC is to borrow one of XC's HST's on Friday 27 to cover for 180 maintenance. This will presumably work the 0804 off Sunderland and 1650 off London.

Of all the people you could have challenged about the going's ons about Grand Central - you (either by bad luck or cocky judgement) managed to choose one of their staff... One of two on the forum!

I'm surprised you managed to ask it in the first place - going by your above example of seeming incapable to string a sentence together.

No capital letter at the start, no full stop at the end and the word 'didn't' is incorrectly typed.

i see no point in using full stops and caps on forums and i spelt didn't incorrectly because, well i don't know why i typed it wrong

Well sadly the world doesn't revolve around you and what you think.

But seriously, spelling a word incorrectly is not really a problem... but you really need to start with a capital letter and use some punctuation. You said in another post you are 16. Don't you learn about punctuation in primary school?

if he'd of said then i would never of asked that
Not that I'm jumping on this particular bandwagon, but it's my pet hate, surely you meant -
If he'd have said, then I would never have asked that.

That said, please don't see us all as a bunch of pedants, but insistence on good spelling and grammar makes it easier to read.

As you're new, welcome from me, I look forward to some more successful and slightly less sensational posts in the future :lol::lol:

Indeed, which is what I'm having a bit of a think over.

It is rumoured that it will work the extras this Friday, one XC and one GC. Which would be interesting to see.

Nobody pointed out that you work for GC, they were referring to Sir Clag.

Well in all honesty we all make mistakes in our posts. Some more obvious than others, some more often than others.

However I do agree with Snapper in this instance. Quite, I had a bit of a rant at someone on Facebook for the same thing. If you're typing on a full-size keyboard, then there is little excuse for not typing a post/comment/whatever correctly (dyslexia being the big reason for it IMO). If you don't know the word, this forum uses a spell checker, although I never use it anyway. All of us are taught pronounciation in primary school and it is a key component in ensuring other people can understand what we are writing. Yes, generally speaking, we can understand what is being said but composing our thoughts in a correct and easy to understand manner is deemed polite if nothing else!

The one thing that does tend to bug me though is when people do not use paragraphs in a long post. This makes such posts very difficult to understand, to the extent it's a chore to read it. That's when I just don't bother.

Point I'm making tgm999 is that correct punctuation is the best way to make a post. You wouldn't not bother if it was an essay or some such would you?
