Good results! Did you use results online? I did and found it fantastic, but everyone else I know couldn't get on.

For those who have no clue what I'm on about, ResultsOnline was an SQA idea to put results on the computers and get them a day before the post. Unfortunately, by 8am the server crased and at 3pm, everyone's results were accessable to everyone else. typical SQA.

I did and it worked fine..quite a good system i think...so what did you get then?

I did Highers and got AAAAA. I'm really happy and totally didn't expect it.

The only thing I hated about RO was the opinion polls I'm still getting to my phone, by txt message and e-mail. I've had at least 5 so far.

Congratulations! They're excellent results!

I agree, Edexcel are a shocking exam board. We all think of them as the 'chav board' at our school . AQA are superb for past papers, but I have to say, I thought some of the GCSE papers this year were a bit dodgily written in part (bits not clearly on the syllabus, strangely worded questions etc.). Also did some OCR exams but found them much clearer.

When I was doing GCSE's my school mainly used OCR. Used AQA and Edexcel for a couple of things but I certainly preffered OCR far more than the others.

I get to go in an hour later because of the year 7s:razz:

We used to get an extra day off for the Year 7s... but sadly not this year. However, what we do get is a 5 day weekend for Easter, and then week and a half later 2 weeks off for "Spring Break".

I got my sats now being half way thru secondary school (year 9).

Unlucky. SATs are most tedious if you ask me, fortunately I got them out of the way at the end of last year (Year 8), meant Year 9 was more revolved around getting ready for GCSEs than SATs.

Or the students forgetfulness? 52 people rang up the day before results day asking for the date and time, claiming nobody had told them, despite it being announced in a letter and in assembly (of course it's the schools fault they skive off assemblies and never read any notices).

No, I always listen to all notices, and never skive, but they never told me. If you had attended my school, you'd know that they're incapable communists.

Year 7's get GCSE results?

People are now starting to complain about not being told about GCSE day despite me putting it on the website yesterday (for those not able to read notices they've been given).

oo-er, I got to get my GCSE results on thursday (I took 2/3 early GCSEs in Yr 10 (Science 1, and R.E. I missed science 2 because of an illness)) and i'm dreading what I get. Any other Yr10's in the forum who took early GCSEs?

Why would we get the results when we have only taken half the course?

Liam, apologies if I've misunderstood your question but many people take their GCSEs early for various reasons, including to lessen the pressure of year 11. Some schools enforce early GCSEs and AS/A Levels (though mine isn't one of them). I personally took Music in year 10 to allow myself extra time in year 11 for other GCSEs.

Another reason you might collect results when in year 10 is if you have taken a modular GCSE course. Some schools (including mine) allow year 10 students to collect their summer modular results on the day that the year 11s' GCSE results come out, as the school is open anyway after all.

I am aware that you can take a course early although was totatally unaware that modular stuff was revealed when we still have much of the course to take. Hmm.
