158954 is the next to go in for refurb at Barton Hill but looks as if 158961 is going in as well for some minor jobs...763 possible as well
I’ve seen 158954/5/9/60 in the last few days so I’d guess it may be 158958 going in?
GWR green is spreading it's wings! 158957 has just departed Crewe with a late running service to Manchester. Should form 16:30 back from Pic if it's not turned early.
Trapped at Canton due to engineering works so is on loan to ATW for the day, presumably standing in for a 175.What the hell is it doing up there?

Saw it at Carmarthen today. The diagram was posted on the North Wales Coast Railway Notice Board website recently; the GWR 158 was hired to free up a 175 for strengthening services to/from Llandudno for the Armed Forces Day event apparently. It was supposed to be running the 09:10 Milford Haven to Manchester and then returning to Pembroke Dock but according to Real Time Trains was cancelled at Abergavenny due to a problem with the train crew. Anyone know what that problem was?Trapped at Canton due to engineering works so is on loan to ATW for the day, presumably standing in for a 175.

165133 was released from Wolverton last week, went by road to Long Marston for its mods. Another set went in the opposite direction, anyone know which one please?
That's the info provided by the road haulier. Are you definite about that?
I'm sure the units at Long Marston recently have already been through Wolverton.
Thank you for the update. I try to keep track but it is difficult. e.g. I thought 165134 was still in Wolverton, but obviously not!
Thank you for checking that. I don't know what is harder, watching the merry go round spin round from the outside trying to understand what is going on inside, or being on the inside watching the world spin about themI’ve just checked back through some emails, yes it is (should be) still at Wolverton. I’ve just missed it off the update
I’ll edit the above. I’m glad someone’s keeping track
Which explains why there are no 158s into Devon today...Green 158766 was on Portsmouth - Bristol Parkway services today. The following train on Portsmouth - Bristol P/way looked to be one of the green 150/0 twins.
Was on 06.00 Portsmouth to Bristol Parkway again today.Which explains why there are no 158s into Devon today...
158953 should be out now and 954 is going in with 961 as well for some other minor work already in GWR Green. Was on 06.00 Portsmouth to Bristol Parkway again today.
Which 158s are currently away to be refurbished?
Ah ok cool so 954 must have gone in then953 has been on Portsmouth - Bristol runs today
165119, 129, 131 & 132 are now officially ‘West’ units. As far as I’m aware all have cycled through LM & Wolverton, (165131 may still be at Long Marston). I’m sure there was somebody on here who was actually keeping track!
LTV 165s
165133 is now at Long Marston.
165134 still at Wolverton. (Thanks SS)
165135 went to Wolverton this morning
165118 will return to Reading today.
All the others are at Reading.
166218 is due to move to Bristol this week which will leave 166201, 166217 and 166221 at Reading. The only three 2-car 165 remaining in FGW dynamic lines livery are 165125/136/137. I notice that 165118 has returned from Wolverton fitted with air-cooling (it seems roughly half do, roughly half don't).
The only GW blue 166 at Reading are 166201 & 166221. When they left Reading 166202,203,207,209,211,215 were blue but I don't know if any of them have become green since then.
I have just seen 165132 at Swindon with a livery variation (well, a letter added), see https://www.flickr.com/photos/pdeaves/29324271098/.
It has a D under the unit number (the other end has an E under the number). Can anyone say what these mean, please?
