Rolling contract but October is the latest mate.
Okey Dokey we were just doing a shift change and it came up in conversation that the 37's live on......
Rolling contract but October is the latest mate.
There's more than two out, hence why GA used the word including.
Is the fleet size beyond their control or do they share control? The GA website mentions that two units are out at present due to one hitting a tree and another due to vandalism. Certainly things beyond their control when these sort of incidents impact a fleet size with very little to spare at the best of times.

The eternal problem with the current GA fleet is there is no breathing space. As soon as you loose a few units then the cancellations start coming
Common sense prevails.They must be in a pickle....all Felixstowe's cancelled on Monday 17th !
I heard today from someone that 3 317 units have been returned to the leasing company already?!
Yes 3 317s have gone. According to the latest brief the 170s go next followed by NC37 the short hailed.I heard today from someone that 3 317 units have been returned to the leasing company already?!

Any dates for this, as I still would like to do the 37 but am alarmed that trains are going before their replacements have even entered service? They may get away with 3x317 being withdrawn but this decision would backfire quickly in the event that the already stretched regional fleet is withdrawn without replacement. Nothing much will happen for a couple of months (or more) on the locals side of things & NC37 should be plying it's trade for a good while yet. As ever though these things are fluid & dependant on acceptance of 755s into public service. Will keep this thread going & healthy if nothing elseAny dates for this, as I still would like to do the 37 but am alarmed that trains are going before their replacements have even entered service? I reckon the others are 663 and 669. I'm pretty sure that 669 hasn't worked this year. A lot of the 317/6 are coming up to eight years since their last body overhaul. I don't know what is the maximum number of years between overhauls.722 is definitely gone but I can't speak for the others.
Yet yesterday I had a 2-car 170 vice the booked Scud on the 1407/1554.Ipswich to Lowestoft seems to be exclusively 153 operated today.
Unfortunately the Cambridge route has suffered cancellations as well as 156 & even 153 substitutions over the last week. Seems to be slightly improved now but expect short forms. Are the broken units likely to be quick fixes or longer ones?
Need to use the Norwich - Cambridge service and back again this weekend, not liking my chances
Yes that was mentioned. Loco fault on 90009 for the 0900/1100 then further issues in the afternoon. All the Norwich in 90 services were cancelled yesterday.
